Hi there! So I actually have tried these products in the past so I know that they work well for detangling but I am more concerned about the long term damage that silicones may have on the hair. There are different types of silicones out there and most can be cleansed by washing your hair with sulphates. My thing is, why would I use silicones in the first place only to them wash them off with sulphate based shampoos which are also drying for the hair. Just my opinion though, I know this is not a concern for many people which is totally fine, just my opinion

    • @JoinAnaVasquez

Because every hair type is not the same…it’s best to state that…allow for people to make their own judgment about it. Also, probably important to explain the products you have tried on your hair and share the info…anyone can read a bottle…but results come from trying different ones out. Nothing is ever a one size fits all…also, not all products are me t to be used forever…it’s good to change up. 👍 thank you for responding.

@@naturallyeve You should watch Dr. Dray, she is a dermatologist on CZcams and she has a video on youtube about silicones which is super informative and also curly chemistry she is a chemist on CZcams that has a video on silicones. Silicons are overly demonized in the eyes of the public because of some overexaggerated reason for example "they leave a film" anything we use for protection or repair on our hair basically leaves a film like oil. you shouldn't be scared of silicones you should just have a reasonable knowledge on the different types and how to properly use them.

If you really informed yourself about dimethicone is a beneficial silicone for the hair not a bad one… if you study cosmetology you will learn that beauty can be clean with silicones in it, they give many benefits to the hair and at a point in life the hair will require them if you avoid them! Thank you so much for watching the video and appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion. I do know that there are water soluble and non water soluble silicones. The ones that are water soluble can certainly be beneficial and can be "washed off" with sulphate shampoos. I personally avoid silicones because 1) I don't like how my hair feels after using them long term 2) I don't want to risk using "some" silicones to gain potential benefits (e.g. easier detangling) if there are other ingredients that will help me reap the exact same benefits. I hope this clarifies it better; we are all on our own hair journeys and what works for one person may not work for another.

Silicone isn't a toxic chemical. In fact, it's completely safe to apply to your hair and won't harm your physical health in any way.
Bad" silicones (the ones most often claimed to be "bad" are dimethicone, cetyl dimethicone, cetearyl methicone, dimethiconol, stearyl dimethicone, cyclomethicone, amodimethicone, trimethylsilylamodimethicone, and cyclopentasiloxane) are the ones that are not water-soluble-meaning that no matter how much you rinse.

One thing that not many people know is that the Moroccan Oil brand doesn't use the true Argan Oil that comes from Morocco but instead, Israel has taken the tree seeds and they grow the trees in Israel on alien soil that is not even meant to grow Argan trees in it, so that they can make this brand. So the Argan Oil that from the trees that grown anywhere else won't be the same as the true Argan oil from the original trees in the Sous Valley region of southern Morocco. There is a reason why this tree doesn't grow anywhere else in the world and not even in the entire of Morocco, only in a small region there.

I love Moroccan oil I have used it for years! My husband uses it he is white and me and my 3 children all use it and we are all mixed I'm half black and my kids are a 1/4 black. It is the only line I have used and I shop and use a lot of different professional products. It is the only line that keeps all of our hair moisturized and our curls are pristine. I have to question the organic oil you highlighted. Argan oils need to be in kept in dark bottles or they lose their potency being penetrated by light. I would not buy any Argan oil unless preserved in a dark bottle. I appreciate to hear some knowledge on ingredients. But I will have to respectfully disagree. I give Moroccan oil a10. :)

Hi, I am glad I searched “why did Moroccanoil ruined my hair” and I selected your video.
I used this for about a year cuz I bought 1 litre bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Now my hair is more damaged than before and it really ruined my hair.
For silicones I use neutrogena anti residue shampoo as a clarifying shampoo once in 2-3 weeks. But honestly, I have never dyed my hair, I just didn’t get regular cuts, but my hair was little less than knee length, yes that long. I stopped using this Moroccanoil products and switched back to the ones which helped me grow my hair and cure damage. Now the ones I use is Toni&guy damage repair Shampoo and conditioner(orange colour). Also, I also added hair mask in my routine to fix the damage. Hopefully it gets better soon cuz it’s a long time damage I did to my hair but I know now I’m using something I can blindly trust and has proven over 4-5 years that it’s good for my hair.
A hairstylist told me that Moroccanoil products activate with heat so I have to blow dry my hair every time I wash them to make the products work but I don’t use heat in my hair apart from hair curler Rod once a month maybe.
Hopefully my hair gets better. I’ll never use Moroccanoil again.

is this oil good for thick ruff hair

    • @naturallyeve
      @naturallyeve  Před 2 lety

It depends what you are using the oil for. If you are looking to detangle your hair, then I suggest using a leave in conditioner as opposed to an oil.

Three minutes in and I am gone. Why did I have to watch you drink coffee? What is that? And my days you talk too much... If you don't like the products don't use it. But if people like it, and it works well for them, then they use it. Yeah, not even halfway through and I'm leaving..

maroccanoil shampoo is a terrible shampoo. It is very glue like & it’s very hard to wash it out. It made my skin itchy & even after 3 washes it stayed oily

omg! i'm so glad i came across your video. I was going to buy their treatment oil and mask 💀, now i'm definitely reconsidering.
I haven't checked but if you haven't, could you do one on Kerastase? I'm also kind of skeptical about them and if they're really worth the money.
    Thank you so much!

It all contains too much silicone. Get the real argan oil 100 percent pure and it's cheaper and more effective.

I appreciate your review. Someone gifted me this and they were clueless of my priority to use truly natural & clean ingredients. So disappointed in the dimethicone as ingredient and FIRST ingredient. 😏😏😒😒😒🥺🥺🙄🙄🙄
