‘Extreme moment of pride’ for David Beckham as he becomes King Charles’ charity ambassador

- Royal expert and journalist Pandora Forsyth has revealed that King Charles appointing David Beckham as an ambassador for his charity was an “extreme moment of pride” for the former England captain.
The former football star was announced as the King’s Foundation's new ambassador on Saturday.
Beckham shared the news on Instagram, with several photos of him and the King during a recent visit to Highgrove Gardens.

His Majesty confirms himself as an intelligent and practical man, with a modern vision of the Monarchy.
He has been saying for decades that he wants a lighter and less expensive Monarchy, and everyone is skeptical because it seems impossible to meet all the representation commitments with only a few working Royals in active service.
And here His Majesty shows how it's done: very very popular people, especially among the younger generations (and very very English ones) as ambassadors on his behalf in charity.
Very famous people willing to do it for free for the return of the image of working for the King, chosen from credible people because they are already committed and passionate about charity in that specific field.
Fewer commitments on the agenda for the working Royals, who can thus dedicate themselves to institutional events, and at the same time the Crown is present to support the various causes, given that they are King's Ambassadors. But spending much less.

(And anyway David deserves the title of Sir. Aside from having demonstrated great loyalty to the Monarchy on several occasions, he and Victoria are the most beautiful, modern, successful and glamorous face of Great Britain, who better than them?)
A small, tight group of dependable working royals is the way forward. No need to recruit the York girls nor, lovely though they may be, the Tindalls. Absolutely no way back for the treacherous twosome. The one thing I do appreciate about David and Victoria is their strong work ethic even now with their enormous wealth.

I became a huge David Beckham fan when I saw him standing in the line for hours to pay his respects to HMQEll after her death. I'm a Texan and a lot of my friends really admire the Beckhams, also. Glad to see his appointment by King Charles, as David is a rmonarchist and will most certainly do the UK proud.

DB started to help children years ago when he was playing football. He used to get youngsters on the pitch and gave them his time and effort. I remember him especially in Africa . He’s a good husband and father. I bet you any money that some sportsmen and women in Canada get a similar following. What can’t you understand. Sports men and women are feted all over the world.
