My sister made her cat her own little house out of boxes and decorated it with brick wallpaper and cut a window in it. That cat loves it. So lovely.

Couple minutes in and I thought of an idea for the couch. You mentioned in your shorts you want the fabric removal for washing. Why not put elastic on the bottom to hold the fabric down or cut the pieces and use velcro? Just a couple ideas 😊

Craft store has these “button screws” that twist into cushions etc., I used them to make cushions for our breakfast nook benches.

Hilarious. I will not be showing this video to hubby. We have five indoor cats (all feral rescues) three rescue dogs and 20 chickens. We have a very large home and it literally is a critter castle. I call hubby Noah Doolittle. He has even transported five skunks (one at a time) to a beautiful stream under a bridge in the country. I can just see hubby wanting me to get our cats tablets. They already play at games on my iPad. Love the video.

Try lightly dampen your modpodge then use a vanish to give it your damp/clear look. It might work if I remember right. I suggest doing a sample first.

This is quite possibly my favorite video on the internet!!! It was so calming and inspirational. I'm definitely going to make my cat a little living room whenever I get my own space in the future. Plus I love how Tilly is so smart and just knows things like what's hers off the bat and just full on uses them right away. If I do this for my cat in the future I hope he's at the least half as grateful as Tilly was. You probably wont see this but I hope you have the best day ever (and best days to come lol. idk how to word it better.) ❤❤☺

My husband is a NO more cats guy. So of cours the system gave her a hand in rescuing a cat from a busy road. Traffic both directions was stopped for a moment. So to make up for that she now has a young chihuahua that ACTS like a catl😅😂
Tilly is very lucky to have you as her momma! ❣️ I’ve used the mod podge transfer technique before in a collage class - we used big sponges and essentially soaked the paper off very gently. It was kinda like, the more water & less rubbing the better if I remember that right. So maybe the towel was a bit too abrasive?
Also I think we just used regular mod podge too, not the photo transfer kind.
Anyways, I definitely had a good amount of fails/pilling etc though! There’s definitely a delicate touch needed :)

As one of the people who voted against the wallpaper, I want to say it's cuz it looks purple in a lot of the footage. Grey goes amazing! It just looked purple and that would be pretty clashy with the rest of your color scheme if only used in that one place. It turned out fantastic tho!!💚💚
Eta: the "wet" look could be achieved with a clear coat/lacquer! Which is a good idea anyway for longevity
Literally in some light, it looks great and in some light it looks purple 😂😭🙈 I think that the rug brings it all together either way 😂 but goodness was i questioning everything for awhile there lol

@HollyAuna - Please consider making a catio for Tilly. Honestly, it will change her life forever. They really are not that difficult to build. You adapt according to your needs and space and let's face it, you wouldn't like being house bound 24/7😊
I think this is so cute. I would love to do this for my cats, but I would go through all the work and they probably wouldn’t lay there. I have gotten them a few beds and they just aren’t tempted to lay in them. Maybe they need the full sofa! 🤣
She still prefers cardboard boxes to most of her beds 😂
With my kitty, if I want him to use a cushion/bed I sit on it myself. He sits on it after that cause he thinks it's mine and he's taking it from me ;)
If people don't think the cat's living room wallpaper goes with the cat's couch, that is their problem. It only matters if the cat likes the wallpaper with the couch. I'm less than halfway through the video, but I am so happy that you're making Tilly her own gallery wall 🥰

What if you do the umm velcro? You can get a fabric adhesive type of velcro, or sew on the velcro to the cover of the and then adhere the opposite side to the backing of the sofa?

I loved the look of the transfer picture! Would doing mod podge to re “wet” and also seal? Your video has made me want to make a dog room for my 3 dogs….❤

2 things stuck out to me with the mod podge pics. One was needing to mod podge over it again. But before that stage, you need to do an especially good job of sticking it down. Kinda like that peel and stick wall paper. It’s a fun project!
