Dear psc, this is so beautiful to hear, and I am grateful to you for sharing this story. My heart is to express and offer God's peace, rest, hope, and healing to people through the Scripture inspired melodies, and there have been many testimonies from listeners over the years who share things happening like this. Somehow the Lord works through His inspiration and the Holy Spirit. It is a mysterious and wonderful at the same time. I heard this song about 15 years ago when I would play a peaceful TV music station through the night to help my newborn daughter and I go to sleep. It was a very dark time in my life then, as I had found out my husband at the time was having an affair and was filing for divorce. Whenever this song came on - sometimes 2 or 3 a.m. while experiencing insomnia - I would experience this inexplicable peace, a gentle touch from the Lord reminding me that He was with me. After a very painful divorce, the Lord restored my life and shortly after blessed me beyond words with a new, Christ-centered husband and a fresh start. We will be celebrating both our 13th anniversary and my daughter's 15th birthday next month. I woke up this glorious morning with peace in my soul, and out of nowhere this song came to my heart. I wondered if I would be able to find it after all these years, and thankfully it came up quickly in my search. As I listened to it, tears began to flood me. It was a sweet moment, reminding me of the hurt of the past but then quickly shifting to rejoicing in the Lord's precious healing and restoration of my soul. Thank you so much for this VERY BLESSED song!!! I have saved it to my library as a reminder of the Lord's unfailing love and promises to those who trust in Him.
Oh wow, what an amazing God-story of His grace and faithfulness in offering you hope through this piece. Hope is the essence of "Awaken the Dawn" from Psalm 108:1-2 (also Psalm 57:7-8). It's about the grace and hope available to us with each new day. Thank you so much for your heart to share this. Your words also remind me of how God restores beauty from ashes, as written in Isaiah 61:3, "to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair." While I listen this masterpiece, I can´t hold my tears, Why?, because this remind me of those who I losted last year during pandemic, it´s been so hard for me to deal with this situation. I miss them so much, also I losted one of my pets "Toto", a best friend that lived with me for 17 years... and finally last December 19th, 2020 we had to put into a endless sleep... and I can´t help myself just no to miss him...but also missing those who are not longer with me in this life... @@StantonLanier Dear Stanton: Sorry for the delayed response; I´ve been dealing with some emotional struggles and finally listening again this beautiful song I´m back; You know? IÇ´ve got COVID last August and being locked up in a room with only your pet watching those days goes by and couldn´t do anything made my mind kind of a weak one. Sometimes I cry, sometimes I´m just don´t wanna do anything and I´m just laying down on my bed... I´ve been traveling to my Grandma´s house (She´s passed away 7 years ago) with my family to do a repairing thing on it; bring me a lots of memories and I couldn´t hold my tears back... I miss her so much since she left me here in this world. I really wish that We could be eternals but the truth is different... sometimes I don´t know how to deal with this truth and i feel the whole world over my shoulders... kind of heavy one. Your music heals me slowly and so deep and I still can say Thank You for such an amaizing music you make... Hope one day (if the life allows me) maybe I can meet you and say it in person, but so far I hope that my words and thoughts can transmit everything... because you music means so much to me... from the bottom of my heart, God bless you everyday my dear friend...always being blessed.
