@@kuubseokjin584: Thank you for your inquiry. On December 27, 2019, KBS held it's annual "Gayo Daechukje" music festival on TV. During Apink's performance, KBS crew came out and forced Apink members and their dozen back-up dancers from the stage before they finished their outro (ending part of their performance). Even the large video screen started showing another group's video. It was a total screw-up by KBS, totally embarrassing Apink in front of the whole world. KBS program director "apologized" to Apink and even posted his apology online. However, since nothing has happened to that director nor anyone else responsible for that insult to Apink, many of us consider KBS as not sincere. For making Park Chorong and other Apink members upset and cry, with no steps taken to show true contrition, KBS should be bashed.
Jack Cap omg this is terrible! No one should be treated like this. I am not a Stan but this is inhuman. I truly hope that Apink will receive a more sincere apology and hopefully actions will be taken against those who are responsible! Thank u for the explanation 🙏

@@shuying8499 i personally count exo's debut as the mark between second generation and third generation (so basically third gen starts after 2012 to me). I would group Apink in the same generation with Sistar, 4minute, Miss a and Girl's day (all debuted 2009-2010). I just can't find myself putting Apink next to groups like twice, mamamoo, gfriend etc because to me, they are seniors and their music is more like second gen groups.

For those who clearly misses the point:
Like forget about people bringing other groups in on performance time. Naeun argued for EVERY GROUP asking for fair treatment and respect for those who put effort into the stage. I don't care who performed that day or whatever because that's not even the point. Pink Pandas are dead mad because KBS mistreated them. Let me list them out:
1. Apink didn't get to take a group photo at red carpet
2. Their group photo and name weren't even on KBS's thumbnail
3. No heater in waiting room
4. Waited all day on stand-by just to find out there's a delay in schedule and didn't get to rehearse
5. Performance cut short, when they choreographed a performance within the allotted time frame and KBS should know better
6. Had to apologize to the fans for upsetting us when they're hurting the most.
THIS. this is mistreatment, and we just want their one stage to be perfect and for the girls to deliver what they want to deliver. KBS couldn't even do that. We love our girls too much to see them treated like this. I will hold a grudge against KBS....let's say for a while.
Other than that, Apink looks gorgeous! and Bomi xD it's okay that you failed your diet plan, we like you healthy and happy anyways HAHAHA

I’m not sure if you’ll get to read my comment but if you do, first of all, thank you for translating videos for international fans, we can’t thank you enough. Secondly, thank you for taking the time out to read our comments, translating and sending them to the relevant departments. I’m sure it’s a very stressful and daunting task for you, so I’m sorry to you and thank you again for understanding the heart of a fan.
I know the chief producer for KBS Song Festival had already released his side of the story and KBS had posted an official statement on their website to apologize to Apink, but the apology didn’t cover all the wrongful treatment that Apink had to suffer from the point they were invited to Song Festival. They are one of the most polite and humble group, for them to be affected to the point they left the venue right after their performance and skipped the ending ceremony isn’t solely due to just KBS cutting their stage outro prematurely (that was the last straw). Many of us have been Apink’s fan for several years, the last thing Apink would want to do is to make their fans worry about them. It goes to show just how poorly they’ve been treated the entire time that this is the first time in 9 years the fans witnessed all the members collectively voiced out their grievances. Not once did KBS made them feel valued and respected.
Not once.
1. Even before the actual day of Song Festival, during the discussion with KBS, KBS told them to remove 15 secs off their already very short allotted stage time.
2. During the photo wall session, there was no photo time and their whole session lasted for only 1 miserable minute. They were quickly ushered off stage by the emcee who conducted a very short interview. Why was it so rushed for them compared to all the other groups? Did you know that Apink ended up doing their own instagram live right after walking away from the photo wall? Because they felt it was such a pity it ended so quickly after waiting forever for their turn, and they knew the fans would be disappointed they didn’t have photo time.
3. They waited since morning but were chosen to be omitted from actual day rehearsal because of the delay due to KBS equipment malfunction.
4. They waited and waited in a waiting room WITHOUT a heater. It’s winter!
In KBS's apology to Apink, they’ve failed to address all of that and failed to paint the full picture of Apink’s mistreatment to the public. Because of that, they became the subject of ridicule by some of the public who have a misconception that Apink is a problematic group who were making a fuss playing the victim card. They are deeply hurt by KBS negligence once more because of the lack of transparency in the press statement.
The excuse the chief producer gave, I wanna debunk it. I’ve done live production myself for hundreds of live events; stage director, cameramen, graphics operator, technical director, producer, director, I’ve had sufficient experience in all of them to debunk the excuse in the apology. Albeit my events may not be as huge as Song Festival with lesser attendees but this is not merely a 단순실수 “simple mistake” as the chief producer had put it. Apink had rehearsed the day before, which means that everyone in the control room MUST be aware of their outro. Apink didn’t waste their time to travel all the way down to the venue to rehearse just for the production team to be clueless about their outro. It defeats the whole purpose of a rehearsal if the people in the control room did not bother taking down notes for all performing artists (what is their cue sheet for?). KBS cannot give the excuse that Apink not being able to do camera rehearsal on the day itself resulted in a “mistake” being made. Rehearsal before the actual day is usually done thoroughly so every production crew have a clear idea of all the performances, where the actual day rehearsal is just a quick run-through to double check everything. So blaming the equipment malfunction on the actual day is not a valid reason for this debacle.
Watch 3:36 where a whole hoard of backup dancers came back on stage, did that not make the production team remember that Apink prepared an outro? From that point to 4:16 where their performance was cut, there were 40 seconds. 40 seconds where all the cameramen would have captured the sudden increase of people on stage. The director, the technical director sitting in the control room would have seen the backup dancers on their monitors so they can’t claim their innocence of forgetting or not being aware. It could have been the graphics operator’s fault who cut to the Song Festival video montage on the big screen prematurely, but what was the technical director and director doing at that point. If it was a mere “mistake” at that point by the graphics operator, why did the technical director who had control of the vision mixer/video switcher not cut back to the live stage immediately? Was the director not prepared to capture their outro? Did he not communicate properly to the other staff in the control room there was more to the performance? Did the director not standby the cameramen for their outro? If the director did, he could have quickly intercepted and switched to any of the live cameras. In live production, you are trained to react immediately when such “mistake” happens. Were the staff not sufficiently trained to react quickly? In fact, I find it so ridiculous that the production team could “mistake” that Apink has ended their performance. In live production, the most important thing to note is always the start and end of a performance.
This is no mere “simple mistake” by one staff. Everyone in the control room that day is responsible for ruining what could have been an epic last stage for Apink in 2019.
With all that being said, nothing can be done now to change what has happened. I don’t think KBS can ever make up for the scars but I really hope from now on KBS will treat all artists, regardless of seniority, gender, public influence, the reputation of their agency.. treat everyone with equal respect and fairness.
Don’t let this “simple mistakes” happen again.

For some of you didn't know, the reason why they didn't look at the camera at the ending is because THEY WERE NOT FINISHED. KBS cut them in their mid-way performance off. They had such a cool ending but they were just cut off like it was nothing.

I've been watching KBS Song Festival since 2013 and as far as i remember, all of the participants got the 3-5 duration each no matter what. All seniors, juniors, and even group from big 3 got the same duration. So it's shocking for me that KBS did this.

Apink is such a special group and they did so well. Kbs is all sorts of messed up. Apink should not have been disrespected like this. I saw an article and it deals with how the members feel about being cut. They said that they attends these shows for fans and they want to show great performances. But they are given short time and they work hard to make sure the fans love it. They cut their performances and Apink were disappointed because it’s disrespectful for them and fans. They said not to worry about that so we can end this year on a good note.
I hope that 2020 will be a great year for them and all idols.
We’re in a time where tv shows care for views and popularity only. Kpop is not what it used to be and it’s sad.
