Come to Goslar Germany.
It still has it’s full medieval inner city with all the churches and the Kaiserpfalz (imperial Palast).
It’s just lovely!
English folk here. They're bloody expensive to maintain and are prone to leaning over and possibly falling.

Here in the US if we hear a building is 200 years old we say "Whoa....!" In the UK they say "200 years? Oh that's cute"

I live In York and it has a lot of medieval and biking history like the walls and Clifford’s tower
York as a whole feels like a different time period. Beautiful, really.

The City of York has got buildings from several different cultures and peoples and
it is insanely atmospheric on a quiet winters evening, and you can almost hear the ghosts of centuries passed....
a haunting place to visit.
There is a pub in Halifax that was first opened in the 15th century, and a working guillotine (without the blade, obviously) which sits just a half mile from the old pub.
I love out history here.
We can nionin for a quick pint in a building that's older than America...
It was known as Eoforwic in Saxon, which points to its Roman name Eboracum

Being from York and having not lived there since I was a young man, that footage fills me with nostalgia. I can see me, my mum and my siblings trudging around on a wet Saturday going to the market just around the corner. It’s beautiful but for me, it’s kind of melancholy too.
I've been to The Shambles many times. It is beautiful during the Xmas season with the Xmas Market at the other end of it.
Xmas is stunning. Great good and nice people. York is one of best cities in UK

I have seen quite a lot of old buildings in my country some from the medieval times to the 18th century the castles are pretty cool here too honestly

To think my ancestors may have walked down that street… my family come from Scottish trotter clan, came from Northumbria and settled all over most of my ancestors come from northern England/southern Scotland, awesome to think my family at one time walked and bred with the Northman!

Lavenham is a really good medieval heritage place to visit if anyone likes old buildings. Very well preserved Tudor buildings.
Saint Margaret Clitherow was martyred for her Catholic Faith in 1586. She lived at 35 Shambles which is now a shrine in her honor. I was privileged to go to Mass there.

U.S can't compare with that architecture
USA has it's own strengths. What it lacks in architecture, history, and culture, I think it makes up in other areas. USA has extremely beautiful wildlife reserves to explore. And the homes in most towns in USA are generally larger in living space (big buildings, big gardens) compared to England.
These tightly knitted buildings seem cute from an observer, but living right the nose of an obnoxious neighbour isn't enough personal space for most people's wellbeing. The smells, the noises, and so on.
Ohhhh..so this is where the whole Diagon Ally came from…Aye. 😮

It’s beautiful…like from a fairytale…I’m wondering if this is really real…it’s just too cute…I feel like Disney princesses would live here
I live 15 minutes from here. It is the real deal, and it is layer upon layer of history. At the top of the Shambles is King's Square. This is where the archaeologists tell us the Viking Kings palace is believed to be. A few minutes from there is York Minster, and you can go into the undercroft and see the Roman Archaeology because it is built on top of the Roman Army headquarters. Look closely at the stones beneath your feet, and don't be too surprised to see your walking on grave stones. Sometimes, they knocked down the churches, but the gravestones and the bodies remained. We don't care in York if our citizens are ever so slightly dead. This is the true definition of living history. It is not Disney.
