I never thought the phrase "growls at snakes" would still be stuck in my head. I wake up in the morning to go to work, and sometimes I just think, "growls at snakes". I hear someone talk about snakes, and I think about how someone may growl at them. Im trying to watch new episodes of the boys watching GUTS and I'm still thinking about "growls at snakes." Growls. What monster designed this new obstacle course?? Those rings look really dangerous. Not to mention the zipline with giant metal bars very close to the landing pad.
I wonder why the contestants don’t wear helmets for this. I would think that this event would be more prone to head injuries than any of the events where they are connected to bungees.

I have been enjoying the series, and I am looking forward to future episodes.
Just wanted to share a potential recommendation and thought. (somewhat lengthy explanation)
Draft Order:
Each person getting 2 first picks, 2 second picks, and 2 third picks is great, but I think the ordering could be adjusted for future seasons to be a bit more balanced.
Current Order: 0:20
In this order, episodes 1-3 have the same order as 4-6 which results in,
Jake picking ahead of Jimmy 4 out of 6 episodes (Jimmy only picks ahead of Jake in 2 of 6)
Jimmy picking ahead of Joez/Zack 4 out of 6 episodes (Joez/Zack only pick ahead of Jimmy in 2 of 6)
Joez/Zack picking ahead of Jake 4 out of 6 episodes (Jake only picks ahead of Joez/Zack in 2 of 6)
The only times that Jimmy picks over Jake, Joez/Zack pick over Jimmy, and Jake picks over Joez/Zack is when they have the 1st pick and the other has the 3rd pick.
(Which is not always the best for potential trades, as they only really have 1st/3rd swaps to offer in these scenarios)
You could argue that the 1st and 3rd pick order does not really matter since the player would always pick before or after the other two competitors respectively, but the order of the second picks is relatively important.
Currently,
when Jake picks 2nd he is behind Joez/Zack both times,
when Jimmy picks 2nd he is behind Jake both times, and
when Joez/Zack pick 2nd they are behind Jimmy both times.
This could have a larger impact overall since, for example, Jimmy might have a different 1st pick than Joez/Zack, which would impact Jake 2nd overall pick for that episode.
Revised Draft Order:
This could be corrected by changing the draft order in episodes 4-6 of a season to balance episodes 1-3.
Example:
Episode: 1 2 3 4 5 6
Jake: 1 3 2 1 2 3
Jimmy: 2 1 3 3 1 2
Joez/Zack: 3 2 1 2 3 1
In the example above Episodes 1-3 remain the same order as before, but in Episodes 4-6 the 2nd and 3rd pick have switched order to balance the overall season.
Now everyone still has 2 first picks, 2 second picks, and 2 third picks, but now
everyone picks ahead of each other in 3 of 6 episodes, (once as a 1st/3rd, once as a 1st/2nd, and once as a 2nd/3rd),
and everyone picks behind each other in 3 of 6 episodes, (once as a 3rd/1st, once as a 2nd/1st, and once as a 3rd/2nd).
This order would be more balanced for trades as well,
(Example: In the current format Jimmy only has two 1st/3rd swaps to offer Jake in the season,
in a revised draft order season he would have a 1st/3rd swap, a 1st/2nd swap, and a 2nd/3rd swap to offer).
I know this was lengthy, and I might just be too invested, but if you got this far thank you for reading.
As a reward here is a potentially simpler way to compare player scores going into the Aggro Crag.
When you see the scoring though the first 4 events, look to see if the two competitors you want to compare are within 100 points or within 300 points of one another.
If they are within 100 points of one another,
the player that finishes better on the Crag will have the higher total between those two players.
If they are within 300 points of one another,
the player with the lower score is still within striking distance, but must place first on the Crag while the other competitor finishes in third for them to pass.
If they are more than 300 points apart,
the player with the lower score cannot pass the player with the higher score.

I'm fairly confident that the Crag scores end in 25, 50, and 75 in order to make sure there are no ties in overall scoring no matter what.
Fun Fact: the episode number order doesn't actually match the broadcast order for Guts episodes. This was the 5th episode aired, so lots of kinks they were still working out.
They filmed the episodes in order based on their episode number. This was the 21st episode filmed. They mixed up the broadcast order to ensure the same games weren't played back-to-back.

the spotter was so hyped when chris completed his water run
Jimmy is right that Chris was going against two weak contestants but you still have to respect that if not for that last second bullseye by Corey on the first event Chris would have had a perfect run.
This was a hard one to pick because purple gets a little bonus with the crag but in this case both blue and purple seemed so frail that Chris was the best pick. It's hard to pick red because they have it hardest on the crag but this is the exact scenario where you need to veer away from traditional wisdom and go and get your player.

In the Invisible Boat event, purple touched in 11.9 seconds. Still 3rd place but some crappy clock work there!

26:47 Math, sucks I know but Corey with 6(00) is 3(00) behind Brook 9(00), meaning she needs to finish with a score that covers the 3 deficit and has some leftover to pass Brook. Taking 2nd for 5(00) is not more than Brook taking 3rd for 3(00), meaning Corey need to take 1st 7(00) and Brook needs to finish last 3(00) a difference of 4(00) and enough to move up.
Addition of points and subtraction of results give the answers.

The Crag point system was obviously installed to avoid any final score ties.
Since all the scores in the first four events end in 00, the 725-550-375 helps to avoid the final score draws.

the first 6 games have set draft picks each of you get 2 one 2 twos and 2 threes.
the remaining 6 games picks are set by the outcomes of the first six games.
a first place finish = a 3rd
a second = a 2
a third = 1st pick
game one determines draft order in game 7, game 2 game 8 etc.
just thoughts i like this way more than i should. Keep up the good work.

You have to partake for maximum enjoyment
Everyone was doggin the kids before the draft but they all balled out, Corey did struggle in the 2nd event but all did pretty well in everything else, not counting volleyball event which is just crap. 12 seconds in that water event got 3rd place, that is actually a pretty good time.
This felt like the season finale. Joez and Zack finally get to pick first. And it felt like we've been building up to someone finally trading for WEEKS now.

Yall should think about trading a pick swap. Say this episode Jimmy wanted corey and said jake you give me corey and on the next episode where they have a second and third Jake would get to make both selections (in case of a 1-3 swap situation) and at the deadline he gets to pick which one he wants and jimmy gets the other.
Oh, those damned rings! I get why they replaced the Tightrope Walk for this set of tapings (Brad's fall from the previous episode), but those Rings were honestly the worst obstacle in the history of Basic Training.
