I downloaded this into my little G DEC amp, now I can play it any time I want. As a matter of fact I want to make an entire CD of backing tracks, find a portable player and plug it into the amp so I can have a whole night or sets of backing tracks I can use during the course of the night.
@@fatkitty4207 No, I didn't. I lost my desktop computer when they cleaned out the house after my significant other passed, that was 2021. I can't get any of my stuff because the family won't accept my phone calls, bastards. Anyway, the laptop that was given to me does not have a CD player in it, so I'm stuck with the G DEC until such time I get to upgrade my system(s). I played it today and the water works started flowing. Great tune. If I could find a live band to back me up on it, I would play this at least 10 times a night.
Thanks for putting this together. This has been one of my favorite tunes since seeing Jeff Beck live on the Blow by Blow tour in 1975. I used this track to do a cover of the song.
This is the most welcome upload that I have seen all year! The full new album by Mark Knopfler (privateering) was also lovely, but this sure does take quite a few cakes!

Very nice, but I don't like the setting on the keyboard. The original Beck version has a nice jazzy sound courtesy of the Rhodes 88. This version, while pretty much accurate as far as notes and chords go is utilizing a DX7 electronic piano sound which makes the song too hard and "synthy" sounding. The Rhode spiano lends the song a much smoother, jazzy feeling.
I totally appreciate the work that went into this song....but we gotta have a 2018 remix of this...come on somebody with superior drummer!!! hook some fellows up so we don't have to live our lives all quantized and shit....
