- Lev Polugaevsky vs Rashid Nezhmetdinov
During his career Soviet chess player Rashid Nezhmetdinov played 2 immortal games, (Polugaevsky vs Nezhmetdinov, 1958), (Nezhmetdinov vs Chernikov, 1962), but it was his game vs Polugaevsky which he called the most beautiful one! In a very complex position Nezhmetdinov makes a spectacular Queen sacrifice which allows him to start a king hunt! After chasing opponent's Queen all over the board, he forces a resignation in view of an imminent checkmate!

Suren why didn't Nezhmetdinov receive the GM title
For people Tal is the magician. For Tal, rashid is the magician.
Suren! Rashid Neshmetdinov is a legend like Mikhail Tal!!! I love to see more of Rashid Neshmetdinov's games! They are very wonderful! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

@@ssa3101 Okay, just an advice as a chess lover. I love chess more than both the channels
Unbelievable
Not sure if someone answer puzzle, but:
1. RxB+ KxR
2. Bc3+ Kg8
3. Qd4 Qxf2+
4. QxQ RxQ
5. KxR
Black has a hanging Bishop as well as a trap rook which is lost
If Black continues 5.... Bf7, then simply Rb1
King was digging the ground for safety 😂
A game to commit to memory
I was about to suggest this game, one of the greatest adventures in chess. And he was brilliant v Tal in Baku, 1961
Neshi the 'Lock Ness Monster' strikes again
Remarkable
majestic
Super strong!👍🏾🤓
Brilliant attacking game. I bet white wished he had exchanged queens early on!
Wow
He has three mating options
I request you please increase the audio valume...it is very difficult to hear.

What King hunt! That's how you leave the queen.
😆😆
thanks Suren!
Awesome
I think this is the answer to the puzzle: 1. RxB+ KxR
2. Bc3+ Kg8
3. Qe5
Followed by check mate at either g7 or h8.
Martin Guerre
You have to go 3. Qd4, to defend the back rank. Qe5 is losing to: 3. ... Qxf2+
4. Kh1, Qf1+
5. Rxf1, Rxf1#
@@scarlatescuovidiu9857 Absolutely right. It makes all the difference in the world. Qe5 loses. Qd4 wins.
@@scarlatescuovidiu9857 Thanks for straightening all that out. What a frustration that would've been!
Lining up the bishop and queen on the long diagonal for what looked like a surefire mate, only to succumb to that sucker punch on f2 and suffer the indignity of a back rank mate.
but black can still bounce back from the attack with Q×f2 after 3.Qd4 and trade the queens and give back the rook so you end up down a pawn.
@@shlomimoz9315 Yeah. Well spotted. This is the main line, best play for black, best play for white. 3. Qd4. White ends up a pawn down but both black's pieces are en prise. We investigated this yesterday in the numerous replies to Scarlatescu's solution. At first it looked like white could go into the endgame up the exchange, then it looked like white could win the whole bishop, and finally it was shown that white with best play had a whole rook advantage.
Nice

6:00 it was a skewer after all
Suren sounds like he's got a cold... Get well soon...!
or maybe Corona?))) I feel really well, but making this video took away my strength)))
1. Rxg7+, Kxg7
2. Bc3+, Kg8
3. Qd4 and white is winning.
Threatens mate on g7 or to take the rook from h8. Black has to give up material to escape from the mate. Also the Queen from d4 defends the f2 square (for example 3. Qe5 is losing because of 3. ... Qxf2+ 4. Kh1, Qxe1+, 5. Bxe1, Rf1#)
Update: after 4. Kh1, black mates with Qf1+
5. Rxf1, Rxf1#
Congratulations Scarlatescu. You are the first. Viva Rumanía.
@@scarlatescuovidiu9857 Wo. I've just seen a resource for black. Qxf2+ forces the exchange of queens. So it does matter which square the white queen goes to. e5 is the one.
@@scarlatescuovidiu9857 Or not! Looks like poor old white king may get caught in a rat trap.
Martin Guerre
I made a mistake
But it maters.
If 3. Qe5, then Qxf2+
4. Kh1, Qf1+
5. Rxf1, Rxf1#
I played against the chess engine using black from move 19, instead of Be6 i played Nf3+, since the following moves played were computerized here lays my question: Knowing your opponent is human and there is a possibility that he or she cannot calculate very possible continuation from such a position, would it be wise or risky to go for Nf3+?
Yea
Are you a native Russian speaker or do you speak the language? I think I've seen you use books with the Cyrillic alphabet present but couldn't tell whether it was Russian or some other language which uses the script. Whatever it is, good pronunciation :)
Hello there! I am from Armenia, but I am also fluent in Russian! And very often I rely on Russian sources... Thanks
@@SurenAghabekyan Ah, Sayat Nova is a superb film! Try to pronounce the small Welsh town Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
Rxg7+ kingxg7 then Bc3+ only move Rookf6 then Qxf6+ kingh6 and then Qh4 mate
After Bc3+ king can go back to g8
I know this game so i immidiately skip the puzzle
Answer:
Qh6 Bxh6 Bxh6 Ra8 Rxa7 Kf8...
Hmm, something is wrong i will look later
Maybe Rxg7...
@@LeventK yes rook X g7, Bc3+,Kg8,,Qe5, mating threat at Qg7 or qg8
Very nice game
On move 19, what's wrong with Nf3+?
Nevermind
Then the king escapes to F2. The idea is if white captured the knight at E5 he will get checkmated since the rook and bishop will be activated and attack the king
3:21 why not Nf3+
Then simply Kf2 no problem at all
Solution to the puzzle:
1) If: Qd6/Qc7 Then: Bf7 and White is losing in this case as Black has Bishop advantage
So, 1) Rxg7+ Kxg7 2. Bc3+
If: Rf6 Then: 3) Qxf6+ Kg8/Kh6 4) Qg7#/Qh4#
If: Kg8 3. Qd4 Qxf2+ 4. Qxf2 (forced because if 4) Kh1 then Qxe1+ 5) Bxe1 Rf1+ 6) Qg1 Rxg1+ 7) Kxg1 and Black is up a rook and pawn and can finish up White) Rxf2 5. Kxf2 a5 6. Rxe6 Kf7 7. Rf6+ Ke7 8. Rxc6 Ra8 9) Rc7+ Ke6 10) Rxh7 and White has Bishop and a pawn advantage and can easily finish up Black.
just a FYI it's pronounced ca-PITCH-ulated
Rxg7+, Kxg7
Bc3+, Kg8
Qd4/e5, Rf7
Qxh8# . . or something
yes, I see the something is it must be the Queen to d4 to guard f2. After Qd4, Qxf2+, Qxf2, Rxf2, Kxf2, Bxh8, Kxh8 and White is up a rook.
First time actually doing these puzzles and writing out the answer like this, hope I wrote it right:
Rxg7+ Kxg7
Bc3+ Kg8
Qc4+ Rf7
Re8##
ZorathX I think you meant Qd4+
Qc4 is covered by two pieces, the queen and bishop.
Re8 can't be cover bcz of black bishop on e6 so..your calculation is not valid i guess so
RookxG7+
R×g7. K×g7
Bc3+ Kg8
Qd4 winning comes her##
Pretty sure this is right. But it does not win immediately. It forces black Qxf3 then Qxf3 Rxf3 Kxf3. Then white rook staring down hanging bishop and white bishop threatens rook. Any way I see it, white goes up a whole rook in the next few moves. That’s why I agree with your combo as winning.
