I've always imagined a ghost that can bring paintings to life. Give him an Italian accent, dressed in torn up painter's uniform, with red paint staining it all over. People mistaking it for blood could be a running gag. He reaches into a painting with his hand intangible, and pulls out a ghostly replica of whatever was in the painting, be it a weapon, a fruit, or a person. He could reach into the Mona Lisa and pull her out, making her his faithful minion, for example. Kinda inspired by Night at the Museum 2. His name could be... Acryl!

I still want to know when Danny Phantom was born (month, day, and year). When need a Danny Phantom timeline
Well we know danny Fenton was just 14 in 2004.
You can also make the argument that he was born as late as 1993 because the show ended in 2007.
@@MrParkerman6 Yeah a year older after reality trip, so 15 going on 16 and in the 10th grade.
I think it's best to leave the timeline a bit ambiguous as to not alienate the audience too much. If the series comes back but it's still young Danny, we don't want him trapped in 2004 and we don't want the show to be in years too distant from our own.

They were all good but funhause is definitely the best. The idea of a ghost that can literally bring his insecurities to life and lives in reflections is so intriguing.

I have a villain suggestion: Dark Dani Phantom (I'd call her "Dana Phantom, though). She'd basically be a female version of Dark Danny (called "Dan Phantom" by fans of The Ultimate Enemy), and she'd be Dani's evil, future self; and kind of Dark Danny's second partner in crime.

When I draw bug swarms I overlap their bodies and shells so it looks like there's more mass. Imagine a sort of cloud since the bugs are falling over each other, you get me? :D Now that I'm thinking about the way you drew them, you wanted them to look fast and zippy (elongated bodies, arms out stretched, circular path lines). That's pretty terrifying. I want to scoop Danny out of harms way and give him a life time supply of bug spray. Eeeeek!

I feel like Plaything would be a ghost he would’ve fought when they all were still kids, like his fourteen year old self. Where as Swarm and Funhouse would be fighting Danny ten years later.

I love all of three of them. Danny Phantom was always at it's best to me when you combine legitimate horror elements with humor and these new ghosts have such great potential to be both funny and terrifying.
I would love to see Danny Phantom get rebooted! I adored this show (it ended way too soon!).
I think Plaything is the creepiest one (is it just me or does he look a little like Slimer from Ghostbusters?) because he has that ability to take something completely innocent, beloved and trusted like a favorite toy and turn it dangerous and evil. However, I think Funhouse would have the most potential as a really intense adversary because he uses reflections (which would presumably have the same powers/skills as our hero) and can tap into that dark side (Dark Danny intensified!).
It would be amazing to see some more in-depth development of Dani and a few new female characters. Part of what I loved about Danny Phantom was that there were a lot of strong female characters (they weren't just the stereotypical "damsel in distress" fluff characters) so it would be awesome to see more of them and how they would have changed as they grew up.

I think funhouse is a good villain to bring certain characters in to character development arcs. Since he reflects your worst qualities he can be a great villain for the main cast to play off on.
Ten years later for all three ghosts just came up with a rough idea for plaything ghost as well

Love Danny Phantom, my favorite show when I was a kid and still remains a top contender. If a new character was brought in, I feel it should be a kinda, little sibling character for Danny, someone who is forgotten and somewhat resents Danny for all he's accomplished, which could be a great setup for introducing plaything, as a toy of Danny's kid sibling.
Good villains would be ghosts based on actual spirits people encountered

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this video Butch, I love it every time you upload a video about new character designs for one of the best ghost shows of all time- your ideas amaze me. I'm kinda let down though because this stuff is only on the internet. I really truly believe that you should get the rights back so you can bring back this old favorite, (even if it were to be a comic book or something else other than a cartoon again). It would be a dream come true for me to see this be animated once again, especially since I can see it as an adult rather than a child, but I am grateful for what you do show us and for how much you still care about your show. I hope that one day these small pieces of work can be combined into one big master piece by the great Butch Hartman for the world to enjoy. I hope you would consider it, but I understand if that's not something you truly want to do, it is your show and you should do with it whatever you please. Never the less, thank you for what you did and do.

I mean, Danny could control other bodies when he flew into them.
There is also the episode where Danny 'bullies' Dash and somehow gets a new locker. And in this locker was a haunted mirror with a school ghost from 100 years ago. The locker-ghost switches body with Danny because he hates bullies. And Danny ends up in the timezone of the ghost.
Something like that. I need to rewatch DP again.

Anyway, I liked 'em all, but I think Funhouse was the coolest/creepiest. That would've been a fun episode. Kind of like when he fought the clones of himself.
