Kai is just a machine - he's a beast. I'm a drummer too and I know first hand just how difficult and taxing it is to keep that up especially at that speed. Thanks for this one. It's a great song!
I added a second bass pedal to my electric kit how does Kai keep that up without going wrong, after a minute with me it's all gone tits up and cramp in my legs LOL

Kai is a real beast. Proven by these songs, and the actual albums he did the drums for. But, here, I'm inclined to throw my hat to Jukka. Jukka and Kai are way out there, they are masters.
Love Jukka's personality too. He's such a joy to watch. Kai is fun to watch too, but for different reasons.

As a longtime NW fan I was a bit unsure of how I felt about Kai at first - there's obviously no denying his technical skill is out of this world, but having Jukka not around really felt like something was missing to me at first. I always felt like Kai just seemed really robotic when performing, compared to Jukka's famous charisma. I have since learned that Jukka specifically suggested/requested Kai (who is good friends with Jukka) because he trusted that Kai would be the only one who could do justice to NW's songs. I never realized that the reason he seemed so "robotic" to me is because Jukka's playing style was not how Kai usually does performs, and he put in a TON of effort to try to emulate Jukka's style so that the overall sound would still be the same. Once I realized that, I gained a LOT more respect for Kai and I recognize how important he is to the current lineup.
That's why the drums really stand out on the new album because Kai plays as himself, not emulating Jukka anymore
Marko and Floor.....ugh just so good together. Kai is performing surgery on them drums. Just absolutely brilliant. Great reaction as always ;)

Thanks for saying what I think aloud and clearly: Kai brings so much. Not only impeccable technical proficiency, but also new musical possibilities. I love Jukka, his style and the heart he poured into his drumming. Kai however is a boon for current and future Nightwish.
Nightwish is in good hands with Kai behind the drums. He will play like a monster still when he's 60+ years old because of his ergonomic drumming style. It's something that a lot of people forget.

This whole concert is like this i personally think band performance wise was there best you should see GLS at the end Floor's dragging her fingers over Emppu's guitar with holding his hands over his eyes and I want my tears back Floor goes nuts as do the crowd

Edit: I Want My Tears Back, is totally different from what you have reacted to, so far. The song has a more folk music vibe to it. And you get to meet Troy. Troy plays several instruments including, tin whistles, Irish bazookie and Uilleann pipes, along with providing another layer of vocals.
They were super fortunate to be blessed with both Jukka and Kai…two phenomenal drummers who melded so perfectly with this phenomenal band. Kai in Beast Mode in this one..as usual🤘🤘

Actually, there are now several live versions from Hellfest 2022 and the Deichbrand 2022 festivals. Fantastic.
Kai is an absolute beast... and yes, that includes the ongoing 2022 Nightwish world tour. I know you reacted to this a year ago but I have some bad and good news for you. Two days ago, our lovely Floor posted an open letter on her social media that in early October 2022 she was diagnosed with breast cancer during a routine mammogram screening. The tumor was small and caught early. This amazing woman then performed with Nightwish during their entire 2022 South America and Mexico tour, knowing that she would be undergoing surgery yesterday, October 27th, 2022. The good news is that she has since posted that the surgery went well and she hope to be ready to perform with Nightwish in late November for fall and Christmas European tour, understanding that she is still awaiting the results of the lymph node tests from the lab. I, and the entire Nightwish Army, send her all our love, positive thoughts, and prayers for a complete recovery. Dear Floor, take all the time you need to heal. We adore you.

Thanks man! Since you post this video I´ve watched many times and it is getting better and better every time! Is it possible? I´ve watched hundreds live metal and other videos and I just can not find better live band as a whole package talent, show/mind blowing experience! (Ok Rammstein but do not tell enyone, pls!)

A song for a drummer, definitely. I also think this tells something of Kai's Jazz background.
I'm no pro, I only think so based on what I have heard jazz drummers doing in street corners, improvising.I think this has a lot of jazz-like quick changes of beats.

If you're planning on doing a drum cover, you may need an extra arm and leg grafted onto you. I hate the overuse of "Awesome" to describe even the most mundane thing, but if you apply the word to Floor, it's entirely appropriate. The woman is magnificent. And Marko is incredible here. It's like they have a psychic link.
