    MICROTONAL LIVESTREAM
Noodled on three custom layouts for the Linnstrument, tweaked on patches, and compared five different versions of Nautilus (primodal /41, JI high limit, JI low limit, POTE, and 29edo).
First new layout is for octave 5 of the harmonic series. Did a lot of jamming on this.
Second new layout is for 22edo. This one I might want to tweak down the line, as it covers a pretty small range (only 2 octaves and some change). However, it is pretty comfortable to play. We'll see how it goes.
The patch for the 22edo layout was derived from newtonality.net -- I stretched the partials to match 22edo, and ran this in Pigments' sampler.
Finally, the theory heavy portion of the stream: I discussed my high limit JI mapping for Nautilus, and derived a new primodal mapping. Then, I compared the different versions of Nautilus. Of the JI versions, I think I prefer Jim Greene's low limit JI version the most. Overall, though, I actually prefer 29edo, but I could be biased, since I've been playing this version for about a month now.
