Bro this was a big help I seen other videos talking about how the passenger side is that hardest part to uninstall and how they used some special tool to fit in the tight spot to loosen and tighten it, that pushed me away and not want try but you made it look easy ! So now I feel like I can do it !

Mine sounded like that when I only had the AMS intakes but once I got the lower downpipe and ecutek ams tune, the sound went away. It sounds NA thought it does backfire/pop occasionally (not popcorn pops with multiple pops). I even added hks bovs and I don't even hear that on revs, only on wot pulls when I let off. Seems odd that everyone has different sounds. My datalogs shoe that everything is fine too. No leaks or anything.
Yeah that blow off valve goes crazy, I’m sure that’s hella fun to drive. I needa get my hands on one of those haha .

With THAT said... Intake "upgrade" on the Q is a waste of $. The stock intake system is already as good as it gets. So youre either blowing a lot of $ on the look under the hood, or a slightly different sound. There's little to no benefit for buying aftermarket intake for this vehicle.
This is just a bit of info toward those who are thinking about buying an intake for their Q.
Stock tune correct but if you have ams intakes and are tuned there are some gains in low and high end with these intakes . Not saying every intake only ams ,stillens are actually bad for the car

Do you keep that big OEM intake cover over the ams intakes? Or do you expose the AMS intakes while driving ?
You swap it for the new one. I have the new intakes exposed without it though

Just got myself a q and wanna do a mod that’ll add some hp and torque. What do you recommend? It’s the 3.0 awd version btw. I was thinking exhaust but even a catback don’t be adding all that hp. Also I want something that won’t void warranty cuz I want my shit to be covered.
Nice bro. 👍🏽 look into a jb4. It’s a plug in boost controller. Just unplug it if anything goes wrong before you take it into the dealership
@@jordantcastro oh yea I heard bout that from boost in motion channel! You think that mod alone would make the car louder then stock? And what exhaust system do you recommend bc even tho I want performance mods I definitely need this car louder, this shit too quiet stock 😂
@@thetruth9307 yeah it should make it a little louder , but the best way to get sound would be throwin an exhaust system in their. You could also install downpipes , but that would void your warranty I believe and you wouldn’t pass smog. Check out my ark grip exhaust video. It’s a little bit on the expensive side, but the thing sounds dope.
Here in MAryland I have ldp full custom catback ams intake mishitmoto hx and I’ve never not been told cars not warranted
And passed MAryland veip emissions testing ( still having primary cats no secondary’s )
How much horse power does this add ? Because i have a 2014 Q50 i want to and a air intake but i dont know which one is the best one to be added with more horsepower??
Maybe about 10+ it’s hard to say. But AMS probably the best one to go with!! I don’t have a tune, but I’m sure if you have a tune or a boost controller , it’ll make the intakes hit a lot harder

They’re great. They sound nice , and no issues. You can feel the car pull a little harder than with the stock intakes. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽
My turbo inlet tubes aren't completely flushed back all the way, do you know if this will be a problem. They are on about 85-90%
You can’t push it in ? Try putting a small little bit of lubricant

Any tips on what to do, my maf sensor is just stuck. No matter how hard I push it won’t come out, any tips?
I pulled off the little snap in zip ties that mount the wires to the car.. just keep trying bro you’ll get it. Put some gloves on and try again. Take a break and get back at it
Pull those clips out that I was referring to @ 3:55 in the video .. this will give you more space to work with
And it will be easier to disconnect the mass air flow sensor.
I installed mine yesterday on my q60 and doesn’t sound anything like this, do you know what my be te reason ?
Hmm.. You have a q60 3.0t ? Did you let the car warm up a little before you started to rev it up ? I did have the cover off of the intakes for the video, and I also have a catback exhaust, letting more air in/out.
@@jordantcastro yeah it’s a 3.0T, and this morning I removed the cover but it still doesn’t sound anything like yours lol ,...
@@Gamer-so1sk maybe it’s the exhaust system haha. The weather is also pretty cool where I’m at , that might make a difference as well.

Does it run good without a tune ? & how’s the sound with the hood closed ?
Without the covers , it sounds beast.. i can hear it loud and clear while I drive.. and the car runs perfectly fine without a tune. I also have an exhaust though , so the air flow is smooth. Might be slightly different with stock exhaust. 👍🏽 runs like a champ

@@xavierspencer5530 yes. It will get dirtier faster , but if you have an air compressor you can blow it out every now and then
