omg I HAVE JUST FIND A GROUP OF 7+ mule deer next to the coast
I had only found 2 deer before seeing this video, both I believe were does. After watching your video, I played a game where I ran in to 4 Mule Deer Stag and many Does. I was only able to get one of Bucks but it was 120 points. I also killed a Whitetail Buck and found many Does. All this in a 2 Hour game. Thanks for the tips.

Good video as always, myself i dont run after biggest animals, just roam aroung waiting for a track/call or see something. Mostly because my tracking level is so low that i dont get weight estimation.
mcfs13jorma Leveling up is important. Follow a few herds for a while and you will level up quicker. ;-)

Hi Hoo, i just wonder where at TimberGold Trials do the animals spawn? just curious....
Bighorn and Ptarmigans up in the mountains however I don't know where the dead spots are. The other everywhere in the flat parts / woods except: Mule Deer not around western lodge. Elk not east of the river.

How do you get the Huntermate to automatically detect if its a buck or not?
SnipsCommentary This has to do with your tracking skill. At level 4, you can determine whether the call is from a male or female. You can distinguish deer calls of course when you hear them, but some species have the same call for males and females (e.g. coyote, roe deer). Hmm...still trying to figure out what weapon is best for deer-family. I got the 7mm bullpup, the 9.3x62 Anschütz 1780 and the .300. :/
+Jonas Pedersen All of which have plenty of knock-down power for any deer. ;-) How would you define "best weapon"?
+HooCairsTheHunter Hmm - anything that takes the prey down in first shot ;) I don't know why, but when using the anshütz and the 7mm, even though I aim for the "heart" section on the mule deer, it hits, but then runs away. I don't know if it is my aim or not, but usually they should go down immediately. :)
Oh - I also noticed that you mentioned in some comment on another video,
that you suggest people to run around to find tracks to follow, instead
of walking? Is that the best approach? :)
+Jonas Pedersen The heart is hard to hit. If the animals run, you didn't hit a vital organ, or only one that takes more time for the animal to die. You should aim for the broadside above the front leg. This will result in single or double lung shots, of which double lungs will lead to immediate death.
Running around is good if your tracking level is high and you are only after heavy animals.
+HooCairsTheHunter ahh okay - I always thought that if I aimed above the frontleg, I would hit a bodyshot/bone structure.
I mainly go after heavy prey aka Mule Deer bucks etc, for competitions.

+bizmark gamingking Sounds like something support would need to look into. You could also check the forum or Steam discussions if anyone else had the same issue. Have you tried changing your graphics settings? Is your graphics driver up-to-date? Can they see each other? Maybe the problem is on their end?

EDIT: On side note, could you also possibly do a Let's Hunt: Red Deer ? It's my favourite animal to hunt and I would greatly appreciate it.
Put a tent into the north-western corner of the VDB map and walk down the west wing. 8am will work. There will be lots or red deer and foxes. Also some bears and rabbits. If you are after red deer exclusively then go to Hirschfelden, check out the south-western corner. Full of reds and also some foxes. ;-)

Was mich ma, unabhängig von dem Video jetzt, interessieren würde ist, ob man euch beim aufbau des wikis helfen kann? Immer wenn ich das wiki durch gehe sehe ich viele unvollständige oder nicht vorhandene Einträge, Hörbeispiele usw. Fehlt euch einfach die Zeit oder auch das Material? Würde euch da gerne weiterhelfen wollen ;)
PS: Zum video brauch ich glaub ich nichts weiter zu sagen ;) Wie immer wahnsinnig interessant zum Angucken, obwohl man selbst schon viel Ahnung von dem Spiel hat :)

Can this game be played without paying for anything, is there some huge paywall?
+Sancho Whitfoot Yes you can play this for absolutely free, however right now you can only shoot mule deer, cottontail rabbit, european rabbit and snowshoe hare for free. This is going to change in the next few days and instead of mule deer, you will be able to shoot as many whitetail deer and pheasants as you wish. You get free ammo for the .243 rifle, and as soon as this changes you will also get free ammo for the single shot shotgun. These weapons are also free.

Sil Volkers You can also hunt both rabbit species but you will need an appropriate weapon for them. Get the single shot shotgun with gm$.
