I used 4140 a chromoly medium carbon aloy. I did not quench it. I merely cooled it, so it does not harden it. Good question. Most do not understand the difference between cooling and quenching. Thank you.
Always appreciate the details you share. Thanks for the video.
Great, heavy tools and heavy products, smashing like you own it!
The way to move the mass and predict problems is counterintuitive and brilliant. So much knowledge and experience.....it’s humbling.
Thank you Brian, love watching you and your experience.
Thanks Brian. Glad to see you doing more vids.
I've been waiting for something like this. Thank you Mr. Brazeal.

It looks so easy lol
It just shows you don't need a fancy anvil, just and anvil shaped object!
It's called a striking anvil, made from mild steel so it dents and does not chip.
Good very good Brian, just hard to hear with background noise.
Thanks for the demo. What steel did you use?
4140
Brian Brazeal , thank you, I wondered that as well. Love to watch you work, my dream is to move material half as effectively as you
Was that shot in Kenya or are you home?
