Children will help you when you get older. I am 39 years old and I have a great 20 and 16 year old sons who helps carry heavy for their Dad and me. I have a thirteen year old daughter who helps a lot too. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and glad to have my children help me around the house and the heavy things because I have a high risk of pregnancy due to my past and age.
I am the same age as you and have 3 boys the same age as yours! Yes, they do help now but you never know how life will unfold. Children are not your retirement so, don’t depend on it. We might end up like the grandma at tent city.
