    Nice video Jake, You guys sure have some beautifully maintained equipment. Shows you take a lot of pride in what you do. I wouldn't change a thing on that grain truck, she's a real survivor. Take care and will see you next post.

    Jake that 600 sounds good, I could tell you had her loaded, you are lucky to have a elevator so close to home, back when I was cropping had to haul 40 or so miles sometimes be midnight getting home.

    What amazed me on this one was that I saw two other cars! That's like gridlock where you are, isn't it? :-) Thanks for the ride in the 600! Always a pleasure to see the fields, the farms, the elevator. Nice and peaceful. Jeff

      When he came to the T and turned left, going to the elevator, that road is fairly busy, especially during morning and evening rush 'hours.' The asphalt 2 lane there at the elevator is generally pretty busy too. Timing was good on Jake's part, not to have more traffic!

    • @defuse56
      @defuse56 Před 7 lety +1

      45Deere9500 I'm sure! Just a slight little joke :-) One of the things I enjoy most, having grown up farming, is the rural atmosphere of Jake's (and others') posts! Believe it or not, where I was raised in southern NJ, it used to look much like that 50 years ago. Now whenever I go back to visit the old family place, there are large tasteless suburban houses where we used to bale hay and hunt pheasants and rabbits. Makes me a bit sad, to be honest. I guess what they say is true: you don't miss something until you don't have it anymore! Thanks for the 411, and have an excellent evening :-) Jeff

    you are really adding subscribers quick. great videos. Can't believe it, one of your roads has a curve in it. thought they were all straight with 4 way intersections every mile back there. (kind of serious on that comment. never been to the midwest but looks flat and straight everywhere)
    Cop probably thought "Oh grain truck is gonna have a ton of problems with it, it will take 45 minutes to write the ticket, that will make me late, the wife will complain, so let him go"

    She seems to do pretty good with that old 331. Sounds like the old girl would be a good candidate for an engine swap. A 361 or 370 4v would swap right in without too much of an issue. Or you could really go all out and swap in an old 12v 6bt Cummins. That would be an awesome grain truck then.

    JakeF600 having 96,000 miles on her sounds she got another 96,000 in her changing gears wow smooth sounding. Now the reason why you did not get a ticket is he could not prove you did not yield at the stop sign. Yurrie he was given a ticket and went to court and contested the ticket saying he did yield. The judge ask the officer can you prove he did not yield at the stop sign and of course being so far away could not swear he did not see him stop. Knowing Yurrie he did yield at the stop sign and I could not prove he did not at the stop sign for way at home lol.

    Hey Jake, 3rd gear don't scream I want a new bearing, your emergency brake control don't rattle and there are no rusty metal primer spots on the hood, other that those missing items I felt right at home in your F600. hey thanks for the ride along man! :) way cool very nice F600 you got there. yep, my old motor was the 330 CID new motor 352 CID. new motor much better. I'm now looking for a 5 speed trans rather than rebuild the 4 speed to solve my 3rd gear issue. you don't right off know the model of the transmission in your F600? thanks Jake, great video.

    thanks it was fun to ride along and thanks for the work you do to feed us. Ill be it would bee fun to drive that truck for a trip or two. You probably could get people to pay you to drive it for a day i would enjoy it i know. They were made heavy duty and simple. And built to last. SOme of the body steel was p[roblematic in the salt of the northeast but if the same trucks were build now identical just sbustitute aluminum bodies they would last forever with those dana axles and spicer ujoints etc etc. 330 360 390 the 352 and on and on NP205 all the good stuff gear driven and that whine is the whine of long long long lasting quality but now it has to be imported from China and that is a DAMN SHAME. PRESIDENT TRUMP we need AMERICAN MADE EQUIPMENT LIKE THIS WITH VERY FEW MODERN UPDATES AND WITH YOUR ENVIRONMENTAL ROLLBACKS WE CAN BUILD THIS KIND OF QUALITY AGAIN REMEMBER AT "FORD QUALITY IS JOB ONE"
