The way you described the sound? That’s what Hardcore music is!! It’s about getting your lyrics across heavy! Metalcore is more about the music then their are bands that go on the middle between the two genres but both genres are the best!!!
KK is legit the best hardcore band of the last decade. Sleeping is an understatement. You guys have to dive into their discography. The Hammer, B.C., Life for a Life, The Truest Love, just to name a few.
There is another artist called Kublai Khan do they had to change their name to have the TX in it. And yes they are from Texas

They were just Kublai Khan for the longest time but recently the were issued a cease and desist from another Kublai Khan band from the 80’s. So they just added TX to their name.

They played at Unify Festival in Australia this year and it was such an amazing set. Pit was insane and brutal af. I was surprised they were so popular in Australia.
