I'm finding myself spending many of my work hours just trying to keep up with the amount of AI research and news being published daily. The speed of this revolution is making my head spin. I cannot even imagine where we'll be 10 years from now.
I have a confusion regarding AI prompt engineer demand because most of the companies actually banned the use of chatgpt due to a concern of data privacy. Can you please explain this a bit more because if most of the companies do not allow their employees to use chatgpt or AI tools like that, how AI prompt engineering would be in demand skill?
I think it depends where you are, but from what I'm seeing, many companies are actually allowing chat gpt to be used at work. Even if that isn't the case, I expect that many companies will have their own LLMs that are privately trained to be used for their employees. Prompt engineering will be useful for these people. I would expect some background in computer science would be useful, perhaps also a background in product management or product development. Requirements are still being written

The truth is... I really don't know. I personally believe they will still be there, they will just be different than they were before because they are augmented by AI. At least right now Data Analyst and BI analyst have the most job postings, so there doesn't seem to be any short term impact on the roles

I gave up on trying to keep up with everything. I find that if I just focus on the things I'm interested on I'm able to manage
Wouldn’t be surprised if jobs in the future don’t have Prompt Engineering experience as a prerequisite.
Ohh that is a good point, maybe that is just baked into all the new roles rather than being it's own thing

I think they will still be around but the role will begin to change towards prompting and feedback
