I can't stop fanboying over him! He's probably the closest thing that I've ever had to a true idol. Out of dozens of Japanese artists, he has had the most effect on my decision to learn guitar, write rock music, start a band, and maybe even experiment with classical music. Hyde is great. GACKT is cool. Miyavi is fine. Hide, Pata, and Sugizo are/were all great guitarists. Taka is very charismatic and talented. Yasuko Onuki and Ichirou Agata are underrated geniuses. Kohshi and Keigo are cool, too. However, none of them are Yoshiki. Yoshiki isn't some sort of god or anything, but as a human being, he is an inspiration. He has a frail body, but he makes the most out of it. He's flirted with death, but he's learned not to take life for granted. He's a musical genius, and he uses it to craft wonderful and varied experiences. His success is truly deserved, and I wish the best for him.
I hope you bought your ticket for his performance in NYC I got mine!
+D Zero Sadly, I don't have money or a driver's license, and I don't think my family would be comfortable with me going on some adventure to New York City by myself. (I'm sixteen, so it's not completely unacceptable for me to be in these circumstances.)
Can always take the train to Penn station. Or wait for the next world tour by X Japan.

Yeah I'm just happy they reunited in 200. I found out about X Japan in 2005 thinking that would never play again as a group except for hide and Taji rip. I missed there MSG concert but I won't miss the next one that's for sure.
Yoshiki has never ceased to amaze us with his musical talents. He's a real artist and a pride of Japan.
Yoshiki-San is the very soul of elegance and grace.

I think it's great. He conducted a few times in America with some of America's biggest symphonies.
Also may be a fun fact but Japan and symphonies are just like British with their rock n roll music.

Been listening since i was in high school was introduced to X japan by my friend Moriyoshi and ever since it open my ears to rock and classical music my respect and admiration to Maestro Yoshiki . Hope i het to see perform in Los angeles soon. From a Peruvian Fan.

Yes it is. She has played with him on quite a few occasions. Check out his "Yoshiki World Tour Documentary" on his You Tube Channel. She is part of the strings ensemble for his classical tour.
