- we explore a abandoned grade listed wedding venue that had a fire but we explore and find lots of stuff left behind inside with sodden floors and fire damage unsafe building, sadly the hotel has been left.

Massive place, shame tge state its in, building outside still looks good to go, few million and good investment needed, unless council has granted demo but cant see why, thank you for sharing 👍👏👏👏😁

The fire happened in October 2021. It started in the Kitchen at 8.20pm on a Friday night, so both the bar and hotel were in full operation. In fact on the local community page for the area, the Chef is actually credited in helping to evacuate the building so quickly and there are also comments left from staff working there on the night the fire started. Apparently the owner is suing the insurance company for failure to pay out so it's been in stalemate for over 2 years. The local Council have slapped a protection order on the building for preservation - I'm guessing they haven't seen the state of the inside of it, it's going to take a lot of coffee mornings to cover the cost of rebuilding that!.

Must have been some place in it's day. what a state of decay it's a wonder it's never been knocked down with it being in such dangerous state. got such a lot of things left behind . always in joy your explorers ❤️
