Saber’s work on Switch ports have been outstanding. I was hoping for the best, and I’m glad the port turned out great! Thanks for having the first review up.
Other companies seriously need to take notes. It’s mind blowing
Looks way better than expected
I’m actually quite surprise holy shiz. I guess I’ll make Henry 2.0
Top notch review. I was on the fence about this one. Think I'll wait a bit - maybe see if it gets more optimization and/or a decent sale. Thanks for getting this video up so quickly!
On the fence hahaha nice pun
So excited for the physical edition! Thanks for the video.
When will be released?
@@ropefilmsproductions8787 15th March
Extremely useful overview, looks perfectly playable to me and the graphics look completely acceptable. Cheers.
Motion control combat would have been an amazing feature for the switch version
Exactly my thoughts
They would've been even worse. Have you ever played skyword sword?
@@ultra_legion2212 yes, but switch motion control are way more precise to the wrist movements than the Wii. Even skyward on the switch was much more enjoyable
so...there was absolutely no excuse for the outer worlds to run,so horribly and look terrible as it did, When KCD is one of the most cpu intensive games ever. bravo Whoever made this port.😊
That was improved a decent amount after launch - it's certainly decently playable as it finished out. most games like that never came near the switch in the first place.
@@huzcerstill looks like crap today. I want to get into the dlc but the main game was already a eye sore to play through.
@@BRANDON4905527 as said, most of these games never came to the switch in the first place because it was too much of a balla che to get games designed for minimum ps4 specs to get running in Switch handheld mode which is 1/4 the power. the only AAA games that consistently ran well on switch were xbox 360 gen ports as they were below switch power levels. something like do om eternal hired specialists to work an extra year to port it to switch but I wonder if they ever got their investment back
@BRANDON4905527 it was great. I played through 3 times and enjoyed it thoroughly. If you compare to PC it doesn't look as good. Suprise. 😅 Get the dlc. You'll love it.
Also Arkham Knight
Saber should have done arkham knight port
Hahaha i thought exactly the same when seeing this 😅
that game had serious issues on much more powerful hardware - it was never going to go well on switch. the batmobile sections are so bad because they are constantly loading in during them and the switch hardware (cpu for loading more than gpu and storage which is just a built in micro sd card) is just not up to the job.
This game also has had problems on higher hardware not to mention on the PS4 lol @@huzcer
Yep thre good on switch port
@@huzcer That's the PC port only, the XB1/PS4 version runs fine. Basically, every version of Arkham Knight (hell, all of the Arkham games to be honest) ported to a platform by a third-party developer ends up in disaster.
I'm freaking overjoyed to hear that the performance on the Switch is good. I *love* Kingdom Come on the PC but never completed it, so I'm hella excited to play this beast of a game on Switch.
I knew March was going to break my bank this year
I’m glad to hear the port is done well 😎
Saber again using black magic awesome
I remember the part in the monastery suffered from extreme slowdowns on Ps4 Pro back when I played it. So I would wait until someone played through the whole game to truly judge the performance.
Also docked and handheld is always different.
Jesus Christ be praised! This game is like how I used to treat Skyrim. Playing with this on the Switch the most hours. Once I get this on my Switch, expect tons of hours put into this!
Saber and Panic button work wonders on the Switch.
Dude you're a godsend! I have been hyped since i found out this game was releasing on the switch but have been nervous about how well it would run. I tried to play this game when it came out but my potato PC was not happy about it. Based on what i have seen here looks like i will actually get to play this awesome game! Nice video man thanks for the early review!
So far it's decent! There's about 40 hours of gameplay left to go lol but yeah, it seems similar to other console builds, not perfect but I'm surprised it even launches honestly
@@SwitchCorner how is the performance in rattay? Or any of the other villages/cities
Thanks for uploading your review. I'm getting my physical copy tomorrow but have been wondering how well it would run after experiencing MK1 on the Switch. Judging from what I see from you they have done a great job!
For me it's the most awaited video in a loong time, I've just began downloading the preorder. You've got my sub sir and I hope tomorrow's release won't disappoint.
Great video. I've bought it before and enjoyed it. Definitely interested in this version when it's on sale 👍
Run AWAAAY! Run AWAAAY!
(you need to play this like Monty Python)
i'm more of a 'black adder' guy
"morning peasant"
Thank you for the import warning!
Saber has proven that if they put their mind to it and the effort the switch can do WONDERS ha ha
Nah Japanese dub for a Europe based game is incredibly funny, 10/10 reason to import
Why I showed it, caught me off guard and I thought it was amazing but I quickly realized that I had no chance with the overheard conversations
Other voices packs have to be downloaded from the e-shop, in your case from the Japanese e-shop
Sweet, my favourite game of all time on the go.
Good review. Looks as good as I was hoping for. Saber have done a fine job, you can’t please everyone but I think they have delivered
I pre-ordered it, gonna get on the fifteenth! Meanwhile I'm playing Unicorn overlord, which is awesome, I just love it!
Can you say something specific about resolution in handheld Mode? 540p ish?
Wow, that is amazing - Gonna be even crazier once Nintendo get an hardware upgrade -
Cant wait for a switch vs pc vs console comparison video. This looks GOOD!
switch version will be by far the worst version
@roseforyoubabe Runs good so far. Only had one crash. Textures, resolution, and depth of vision took a hit, but in handheld it isn't noticeable
Looks good. I’m going to buy it.
I like the fact that it sounds like you are playing a game version of Shogun.
You don't mention whether the performance test you've ran was in docked or handheld (or I missed that). I assume the footage shown comes from docked. I'd like to know how handheld performs.
Smaller resolution, better performance? Idk 🤷♂️
I can't wait!
Can You add MOD to in the kingdom come nintendo switch
Having never played I was looking forward to a review and yours pretty much gave me the go ahead. Witcher/Skyrim was a blast on switch so looking forward to more of the same, though I might be playing on easy 😅
I’m beyond impressed with the port. Excited for tomorrow.
When I tried it on my Steam Deck OLED it ran at around medium-high@ 45-60 FPS so I figured they'd be able to make it presentable on the Switch.
Seems like it's better than I expected even, good port, great game.
HENRY’S COME TO SEE US
Hello there) Does this mighty game support 30 seconds video capture features on Nintendo Switch?)
No
I heard about this game when it first was coming out and I've honestly been meaning to get my hands on it...a Switch port this good sounds right up my alley especially since it'll be a more complete version with any major bug fixes and DLC already baked in for the most part.
I thought this one was going to be too good to be true. But turns out it's just true. Really impressed
The heat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What is Title ID for this game
Back to the bathhouse for me!!! Henry of Skabitz returns!!!
Leave it to saber to know how to make Insanely great ports on the switch. I'll definitely pick this up at some point.
Ok, the port looks impressive.
But sadly, the game seems to run around 20-25FPS most of the time… with the others visuals concessions, I wonder if the game can be a recommandation…
Like Batman : Arkham City, why are they spending so many time for this result, impressive but with some many concessions… maybe to be ready for the next system at launch ?
Anyone know what time the game goes live in u.s
In Mexico time it's always at 2:00 am.
Good review, convinced me its a great port, Im buying it
Wow!!
Handled is too blurry to play?
This or gothic 1? Serious question 😅
Wow, very impressive. I expected it to run much worse and look much worse. Saber has good coders! Still though, I am glad I played this masterpiece on highend PC and big TV, it deserves that.
I like this game. I played 1 hour. But I wish theres more action. Because the only time I used my sword was the tutorial. Maybe I have a low attention span. Story is good tho
That is........ UNBELIEVABLE!!!. BUT SABER WILL RELEASE SOME PATCHES AND I BELIEVE THAT PERFORMANCE WILL BE SLIGHTLY BETTER IN FUTURE
It generally looks great, to be honest; as good as any Switch game can look. Pop-in is slight - more aggressive if you're charging around, but otherwise really not noticeable.
I have to say, the feeling of draw distance and views is incredible - there are constantly long views over what feels like miles of rolling hills and countryside, which are probably in-game 'just' a mile or two, but the feeling of it being an actual, real world setting with a very natural scattering of trees etc is great.
I never completed or got very far into it on my Xbox, but it feels great for my Switch - it's a bit buggy (still have people sometimes trapped in corners of rooms, trying to walk upwards), but nothing major yet. Annoyances like being defeated by two unarmed guys even though I was whacking them with a sharp sword for ages (so, defensive fists beat swords now?) Don't help, but overall, they've done a great job, with one of the Switch's better ports for sure.
Looks hood so far. Saber again.
And the first patch improved performance further. If anything this port is better than the witcher 3 port in terms of visual fidelity.
The combat put me off, but will give it a try when I get my switch
It's a good game somehow. It does took some time to understand the mechanics. But once you do, you'll realize that Henry is the Dovahkin in this game.
Definitely looking forward to a western release. Looks pretty cool
It comes out in two days for usa
First time that I'm gonna pay full price for an online game I'm glad this runs good!
Henry in Japanese is something else! I quite like it
Saber's team is probably a council of dark wizards
Awh. It's not locked at 30 fps. Would've been nice if it's locked. 😣
Not locked on any console unfortunately
@@SwitchCorner ugh... but at least it looks decently playable on the switch. I'll take that as a win.
This game made the ps4 chug a bit. So this makes this switch port much better than expected.
the most demanding location is rattay. In PC, no matter how powerful your pc is, you lose a massive amount of fps.
I didn'r know Saber was the dev behind this
Yes they are. Saber ported kingdom come on switch
Looks decent if im being honest. Not bad at all.
Me too xcited😂
How it works on handheld?
this is what I want to know.
From what I saw runs about the same just be prepared for the small text that I mentioned
So stoked! For me the only really viable option is Switch. Not going to buy a gaming PC or another console for this game alone. My local postage company just sent me a message that they're carrying my copy and they're expecting to deliver it tomorrow.
Looks good but no 3th person
It's kind of hilarious to hear Japanese in such a European game/story.
Wow this looks cool :)
If it is not SIFU hard I'm interested "
2 different types of developers.
Saber , comes out with 2 considered to be impossible Ports of recent Gen console games on the switches limited hardware.
Aspyr “pandemic?” Can’t even port a ps2 game nearly 20 years old
This is some black magic level shit, I don't know how they do it, but bravo to the team.
Yeaahhh who didn’t import the game..
Man, the truth title clickbait doesn’t really match your channel
I wasn't sure what to do with the title honestly, and it worked real well on a contra video I did recently hence why I've been reusing it. It's a weird place to be, thinking of youtube video title but transparently it gets more clicks, longer watch times, and more likes
@@SwitchCorner I won't judge you for the YT grind. clickbait worked for RGT lmao, your work definetly deserves more views. wishing you good luck! get ready for the switch 2 launch, that will trigger a bunch of new youtube careers for sure
There is nothing a 10 year old tablet wouldn't run I guess :D
Looks impressive. Also looks very, very dull
Its completely stupid to move such big games to switch like witcher 3 , Kingdom and many more even if they run, cheesus please no with shitty fps and how its looks, no BIG NO. Maybe, Maybe will be better on switch 2 if devs will update to new hardware. All the pop up difference thing inside the game ehh no.
Meanwhile gamefreaks cant even have decent performance despite those graphics
diablo 2 even bad , unplayeble endgame ... sad for my hard work moneyi spend
diablo 2 unplayable on switch?
Im gonna wait for this game to go on sale on eshop than i will buy it aint worth buyin it for 49.99.
I finished this game like 3 weeks ago. Guys don’t have your hopes up, it’s actually a chore if a game, I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. Do I recommend it? Yes Because the first few hours are just tutorial so I recommend trying that out, but then the real game starts and ohh boy…
The story was interesting but the finale is basically a build up to a DLC that never came or a new game, it’s 2024 and there is no kingdom come deliverance 2.
Graphics are fine
Bugs? Plenty of them.
Combat? I hate it, I genuinely do, in the tutorial it’s interesting but after that you get matched in 1v3 situations, 1v5, etc and it’s unfair as shit.
Music? Music is alright, nothing bad to say about it.
That’s basically my review.
The first 3-4 hours of the game are way too different from the full game.
The story is generic, mediocore, it keeps you wishing for some plot twist to happen which it does however the plot twist is predictable.
At the end of the story Henry (MC) is still a freaking nobody, just the lords (I don’t mean god, I mean the lords of the land) delivery boy.
I have no idea how you would be able to play the combat With a controller but on PC, the combat is just bad, I didn’t like it at all.
Anyway I uninstalled it the moment I finished it, I never want to play this shit again.
But you should try it for yourself, although you will waste your money (most likely)
I enjoyed the game on PS4 did multiple playthroughs and hardcore mode with all negative perks and it was fun.
Combat after learning master strike and training with Bernard helps you immensely it helps you wield your weapon and use it.
Combat against 3 in early game is going to be hard especially if you fight well armored opponents, peasants will usually go down in 1 hit to the head, to increase survivalbility try keeping them in front of you and never expose your back or run away.
@@imamish My problem with the combat is the master strike itself. Enemies spam it constantly so you're forced to turtle and spam it too.
would you rather play the witcher on a pc or ps or xbox or on the switch.. switch would be the last option..
I have an Xbox One X along with the Switch and the Switch is my first option so... lol
why play the worst version when you can play it as intended on a better console.. most people you think have more then one console..these days...
I think there's a few things to consider here, do you want handheld? Yes graphics take a hit also, but load times are improved. It's on par with the majority of builds, this game has ways been a nightmare to run
with switch 2 we wont have to settle for the worst version of ports anymore
With portable systems, you'll always have the "worst version" on a technical perspective.. But that isn't the point of having the Switch system lol
