@@maxmeier532 The twin turbos are much better than the first gens on the Q60...then the Q60 RS is a better car now than it was when it came out. The engine in this car is bullet proof. I have a 2012 Infiniti G37xS coupe (Red) with lots of bolt-ons and aftermarket bits and a tune. Next spring I'm doing a new tune with EcuTek and I'm currently tuned with UpREV Osiris V2. This new Z is perfect for the aftermarket. If you change a few things and dyno tune the vehicle you will add a lot of HP and TQ. You will end up with a solid, very reliable, fun to drive sports car. Did you know that up until a few years ago the Mustang didn't have rear independent suspension? Yup, they had a live rear axle. You won't get that kind of reliability from a Charger or a Camaro....

@@xorbitman Yeah it's a true tuner car, get lots of '90s early '00s vibes from how much power can be gained with a simple tune and letting it breath better. There's nothing wrong with that FM chassis for what it's designed to do and like you said all the kinks from the chassis and engine were worked out so it's more like a best off everything Nissan has done up to date, with an actual stick shift. While I'm not wild about the price, should be 5k USD cheaper, but a 300ZXTT was about 50k new, in '90s money. I'm just going to do the base&mod thing for now (I can buy a lot of goodies with that price difference, a lot!) and start saving for the Nismo and keep it stock for the fun Sunday car.

I appreciate your honest take on how it drives, but there are some significant technical inaccuracies in this video.
This car doesn't use a chassis from 2002. It uses a chassis from 2009 (Z34) with some modifications. The 350 and 370z were built on different generations of the FM platform, and have different chassis codes. They shared almost no parts, and had substantially different wheelbases, track width, etc.... The main shared part was the manual transmission, which is also carried over to the new Z, with a few changes. People make the mistake of thinking the 370z was just a modified 350z, I guess because Nissan's design language didn't change much during that era.
This "new" Z has a lot more in common with the 370z at it's core than the 370 had in common with the 350z.

@@AdamJDMartin IMO this car looks a lot better than the Supra. Nissan is offering enthusiasts a manual from the start and it doesn't have any fake vents. Also the Z has always been a tuner car. Nissan is giving a great canvas to start with and will let you do whatever you want after you buy it. They didn't lock the ECU like Toyota did on the 2021 model Supra and if styling is your thing, you can bet there will be a lot of body kits coming for this car. I personally can't wait to see what Amuse, Greddy, Top Secret and others do with the styling

Gripes about a bunch of left out tech that just adds more weight to a sports car (struts for hood, wireless charging, cooled seats). All performance gripes will certainly be met with the Nismo version or easily addressed via aftermarket (which is what these cars are about, right?).
Be happy they are still offering a rwd 2 seater in 2023. I know I am. But I am still happy in my 370z Nismo. For now.

    Hi,
This was a great video! I would buy a touring, automatic. I wouldn't ruin the car, learning how to drive stick. There has to be a tire option. And that's about it. Do I like the front grill? Nope, but the side, back and the performance, would supersede the front, mistake.
    Great car, Great video.

You're asking "High school kids" if they know how to "drive a manual?" The fact they know how to "drive" is a feat in of itself at that point in life - and its likely their parent's automatic transmission family car. So I don't know if you're going to schools in Saudi Arabia but in most parts of the world getting your first car, let alone a sporty manual transmission car, usually happens much later in life. And considering current world events, thats going to be much later and much rarer. :(

I will absolutely miss the VQ exhaust. It was perfect in my opinion especially in the coupe because I think it was a little louder. The have toned it down a lot, here in America you can get a factory exhaust that will make it louder BUT it like a $1500 usd option and I guarantee no one is getting it bc no one will know about it. I'm sorry to say BUT I don't like the rear of this car. Not my taste, I can live with it.

I am a huuuugggge Z fan. And I was soooooo excited about this. But honestly...it falls wayyy short of what I was expecting. For 60K you can get a lot more :/ And thats a shame because this was gonna be the first car Ive ever bought new. Twin turbo and it sounds like that??? Maybe you shouldn't have spent all your time on that ridiculous gas cap cover! But its cool...at least the manual seat adjustments are still in style...lol. And im just gonna throw this out there...and most of the sport cars fail at this..but what is the deal with the bottom of yallz cars? Like have you ever seen what a body kit does to a car? Why cant you give these sport cars a sexier bottom finish? Man I wanted one of these so bad. Loooong live the 240Z and the 94 300ZX Twin Turbo!

    Cool chan. Sub'd.
I think the Z store has done their homework and already has an OEM-approved set of Borla knockoffs to hone in that sound,,, for $1250, warranty-approved / dealer-installed. I further surmise this "S1 Exhaust" will be stock in 2-3 yrs. If the Nissan Co. hasn't thought that far into their portfolio, then shame on them for releasing a Z that sounds like my wife's 300hp minivan. 🤷‍♂
