Even though the video was made 2 years ago, it might still confuse people why property in Malta in this state is so expensive. The reason being is that these houses literally have a bunch of history on them, some even dating back to the knight's ages. The price is there to "convince you" to restore the house instead of demolishing it, which would be more expensive. So basically, the older the house, the bigger the price.
And also to mention that some of these houses are crazily large. Some even having up to 3 floors including a basement or even a small field included. Not a lot of countries have this heritage left, therefore that is why the price is so over whelming.
Right, sure, you buy history. These are houses situated in very crowded areas with infinite issues and nobody will buy them. Other countries have history as well, but it doesn’t look like a horror show. They don’t even sell (unless you launder money, try to obtain citizenship, buy passports and all the nice things you people do), I live here and it’s full of ruins and empty houses. Also, most of them are from the 1900 😂
