I'm surprised the skies are that blue with some of the fires still burning not too fire from there.

I lived in Redding for 10 years from 1990 on. I even drove taxi for a lot of that time. Nice to see several familiar sights/business'. Just one question, Why did you only cover the West side of town and not go to the East side of town? By doing this you only showed us half of Redding.

Grew up there back in the forties and fifties. My folks lived in the area until they passed. Now I recognize little to none of what this video shows. It was a good place for kids to grow up in back in the day, hopefully it still is.

It's amazing that the sky is so blue in August here, Redding usually is covered in smoke by then (at least based on what I see on the news).

Good video of downtown but why weren’t any of the many very beautiful places in Redding shown along with recreational areas? There is a LOT more to Redding than what’s shown here.

The orange building on the right at about 54 seconds was supposed to be a Mexican restaurant, and it is still abandoned. I love this community in spite of all of its problems. Homelessness, drugs, crime, wild fires from poor forest management, and a mega-church literally taking over our local politics and businesses. Still, it is an amazing place to work and live.

      That’s a LOT of exclamation points!! 😊
Actually, there IS audio but it’s a recording of a quiet driver, sitting in a quiet car, driving through a relatively quiet town.
The only few seconds that destroyed the quiet was when drove through a construction zone for a moment.
I guess that there were no fires or crimes being committed at that very moment? Shhh…

No chemtrails. Chemtrails started again around August, then I got covid. Coincidence? I never leave my house, see no one ever. Daughter tested negative twice. Saw that gas price, over $4 now.

Chupacadra, that would be North Market Street, not far from Interstate 5. From I 5, you would exit at Lake Blvd, and head west, left at a stop light to Market Street. We locals call Market Street "Miracle Mile" for some reason. Market will take you to Eureka Way. Eurika Way eventually turns into Highway 273, which will take you to the historic town of Weaverville and Humbolt County. Humbolt has the beautiful Redwood Forest (Return of the Jedi was filmed there) and really nice beaches.
