I’ve lived in Calgary since 1976 and have not known about all these shooting locations. Thanks for sharing your great shots and shooting data. I have been there at Moraine lake at sunrise and it was a real treat to witness an event that is gone in 15 minutes. Definitely worth getting up early to see. Regards Gerry
Thanks for the video and tips. Excellent shots! I was just there and got some of the traditional shots at sunset (directly facing the glacier). The crowds were massive! Parks lots full and thousands of folks and everyone standing on the rocks. I like your idea, though, of taking a vertical composition with foreground rocks since that would keep bystanders out of the shot. Unfortunately, so many still in canoes. But it’s all good. Better that everyone gets to eat, as the saying goes.

I absolutely love this video, I was doing the Plain of the Six Glacier hike on this day. I couldn't even imagine doing the Big Beehive and Fairview Lookout as well on the same day! Great content as always 👍
I enjoyed your video. I was a little disappointed because I thought you were going to explain how to get around the crowds. I used to teach outdoor education during the 80’s and 90’s and I spent a lot of time in the Lake Louise area with my students but in the last 20 years it has got so busy that I avoid this area.
A few of those spots in the video are much quieter. As for getting there a lot has changed since I made this video! Parking is stricter and shuttles have changed a little!
What an epic location!!!.I was there a few years ago in June and it was snowing at the Teahouse. Unfortunately the mountain was covered with fog :( Thanks for the video:)
I wonder if it’s at the point now where we should lean into the Lake Louise crowds - instead of trying to avoid them, attempt some street photography instead 😅

I believe the parking has become quite a lot more expensive now too. Still great to see though, glad you had a great time.

You'll have a great time, be a little quieter around then and Lake Louise is spectacular if you get a little fresh snow!

I shoot with a mixture of Canon R6 and 6D. Lens wise I mainly shoot with a 16 - 35m F4 L lens and a 70 - 200mm F4
