Barber Jason Ecks is giving his client a beard trim with an exaggerated goatee. This unique shape is obtained by blending the sides of the beard into the chin and 'stache area.
Jay starts the trim using a grade four on his clippers and fading downward from the cheeks into the chin, leaving the mustache untouched. He gradually works his way down to a grade one to fade the tops of the sideburns. - Jak na to + styl

this is the exact style I've been working towards this year after a few bad brushes with barbers "trimming" my beard and stache. I experimented a bit with the different sizes and how they look on my face and this video sums it up for me. Another great video from Beardbrand!

Tried this out on my own today. Risky move to say the least, and while it obviously didn't come out as refined as the Magician's work in this video ended up being, it still looks infinitely better and it's exactly the type of look I've been wanting. Thanks a bunch for the vid.

I just changed jobs and can now grow a beard after having to shave it for years! I’m about 2 weeks into it and would love to have mine just like this some day in the future. 😬👍
Usually I would complain about how high he took it and how he cut off the bulk under the chin but it works on this guy. He doesn't have a double chin or hanging skin. But this beard cut is not for everyone. If you are heavy, don't do it.
That's like a perfect beard. I'd keep it longer myself, but it looked great before and after.

1. Gets inspired by the video to trim my beard.
2.Goes to the barber for the trim.
3. Immediately regret my decision and shaves the beard next day.

Trial and error, dude! I’ve messed mine up now more times than I can count! Much more fun and rewarding doing it yourself.
Beard rules :
(1) less is more when trimming
(2) never let a women or beardless man trim your beard

That is exactly what I want and am going for with my beard. Still growing in the length. My beard on the side isn't as full as his so I might need slightly shorter to avoid cow-lick looks since the hair would like to bunch up. I like longer exaggerated goatee look.
