      @@NathanKirby2001 Yeah don't SRT4s go upwards of $5k usually? Like, for one that isn't knackered? Not quite unobtainable yet, but that definitely prices it out of reach for the younger/poorer among us. A PT GT can be had for pocket change, and chances are it was owned by somebody's grandma who loved it and took good care of it.

      You all say that now, but when the PT cruiser came out it was the hottest car on the market. The Dealerships were backlogged with orders for PT cruiser that they couldn't fulfill due to the factories not able to keep up with demand.
      The PT cruiser also started the retro era styling in modern cars in which Chrysler still dominates. Other companies have tried to follow suit but still not as good as Chrysler( Ford fucked up the Retro Thunderbird ......Bad).

Both very quick but with a some suspension work on the first one i bought it drives much better. If your not mechanically inclined the PT could challenge your emotions. I also own a 2006 Magnum SRT8 and 2015 300C Hemi. My Magnums SRT8 is kinda a sleeper because its a wagon, but the loud 6.1 kind of gives it away when i give it gas. But in the PT Cruiser, its absolutely a true sleeper especially with my mods making it definitely faster to the point where i lose traction in 1st and 2nd gear at wide open throttle. No problems whatsoever since 2014 na manual. Drive it without backseat and fits all kinds of stuff. Loaded a complete disassembled Kawasaki klr650 back there once. Tow a trailer sometimes 24-25 mpg. Tint the windows if your not manly enough to take being laughed at but it doesn't bother me. I prefer it because they can see me when I let my girafee head poke out of the top of my pantalones. That shuts them up everytime.

  • @argenisdominguezmolina5981

    The regular Dodge Neon does not have the same engine as The Dodge SRT-4, and the Pt Cruiser does not have the same engine as the 2006 PT Cruiser GT. The SRT-4 engine has the capacity to withstand 600hp with no problem, the Cruiser GT has the same engine as the SRT-4 but with different air intake manifold. Get your facts straight instead of just talking shit about the GT!!! Ive driven both a regular Cruiser, and I own a Cruiser GT, huge difference, the problem i got with my 5 speed cruiser GT was the clutch after 138,000 I still have the vehicle and its still running strong.
    Yes the PT cruiser is not the best looking vehicle but the 2006 PT GT has everything a car should have plus a very strong engine. There are better videos than this one on CZcams that talk about the 2006 PT GT trust me.

    I was loyal to Chrysler for many years, until I purchased a 2008 PT Cruiser, low mileage, extra clean condition. A lemon from the word "Go" nothing but serious issues and concerns, had a major crank case seal oil leak that could not be fixed short of a new engine, did weird things like popping the hatch all on its own in super cold weather, and, don't get me started on the whole front end systematically destroying itself...

    • @Johnnyhernandez1993
      @Johnnyhernandez1993 Před 5 lety +1

      I currently own a 2008 PT, I had the same problem with my hatch. I lost my keys and got a new one programmed and since then it doesn't not do it anymore so I think I was a faulty key fob but not entirely sure. I'm not the first owner so I don't the history of the car before 95K miles but besides common maintenance as well as a new timing belt/ water pump assembly. I've done some heavy modifications to the stock NA engine as well, still runs great. One thing to note is Engine and cabin vibration can be limited by correct installation of engine mounts on the passenger side (3 of them) upper, lower, and center mount. Top mount is vital in placement to achieve maximum smoothness. Does not become smooth if center mount is not replaced

That's not so much the problem. No, the problem is, Chrysler made it a closed system, and un-refillable, meani b g, I either have to find another pa r t that's full of hydro fluid, or drill a hoke in the res. of mine, and fill it with a syringe. You did a nice job on this vid I thought it was gonna be a rip session. I understand people's view of not liking this car because I feel the same when I see someone driving a PRIUS, Scion xB , Veloster or whatever it's called. I think how can people spend their hard earned money on that turd?! Having said that I own one of the most hated cars, Iown an 06 PT GT and the history of this car and the hatred it has now will come full circle, people will eventually learn to appreciate the car for what it is and what it meant. Their being bought for pennies and being scrapped out daily and the Gts especially low mile good condition cars are extremely rare. These cars were designed at a point in time when retro looks we're all the rage and this car was released at the perfect time, people we're paying 10k over sticker to get one first and that was for the base 150 hp models. The Srt4 was an extremely huge deal as well and the fact the Gt uses that same powerplant makes it a gem in the rough. The ability to mod these are endless and although they have their shortcomings they are a blast to drive! Grab one why you can get one for pennies then you can sell it at Barrett Jackson in 20 years and put the money towards your kids college. Mine has only 60,000 miles on it and is almost in mint condition, I have no plans to get rid of my ugly duckling👍

      @@FoundationElectronics I'm about a year too late to this party but I'll give you 3 solid reasons why the only way I'd ever end up in a pt cruiser is if I happened to get in a high speed head on head collision with one and ended up flying out of my car and into that turd of a vehicle. Reason 1 is because it's made by Chrysler, one of the most if not the most unreliable car brands out there, reason 2, the transmissions on these cars are garbage and are notable for leaving people on the side of the road, don't even get me started with the engine problems on these things, now last but not least reason 3....IT'S UGLY AS FUCK MY GUY!!! fuck me sideways in a porta potty if the pt cruiser isn't the ugliest fucking combination of car parts assembled together In a factory to ever roll it's tires on the pavement of any public road. Like what the actual god fearing fuck was the designer of this monstrosity thinking, I personally think the person behind the design should be dragged out of his home, beaten by a mob of emotionally damaged Chrysler fans, then strapped in the dog shit creation of his then dropped out of a b2 bomber with 100 pounds of c4 in the trunk directly on the Chrysler headquarters. Sorry I got a bit carried away, but Everytime I see it I just want to gouge my eyes out for some reason.
