  • A test between the 2 machines. The P-touch OEM and generic labels seam to be about the same quality wise the DYMO OEM and generic labels have quit a different feel to them.
The DYMO OEM seams to be on par with P-touches OEM and Generic but the Dymo Generic has a slight grainy feel to it. Would have to try other DYMO knock off brand labels to see what their quality is like.
I'm not a fan of the display and text layout on the P-touch. I like the DYMO display and layout better.

I will have to agree, the DYMO display and layout is nicer. I just went to check the book for mine, which is a P-Touch PT-1750, quite a number of years old at this point, and I found I didn't actually even have the book! I keep PDFs of the manuals for everything around the house, usually downloaded from the manufacturer's website. But I found the manual, and double-checked, indeed, it has no auto-centering feature if you print 2 lines on the tape. So yeah, that DYMO probably has a better UI all around. If you felt inclined to read the manual for mine, you'd see the odd nomenclature they give for certain features, and errors as well. Sort of like translated from Japanese, but not well enough.
