I know telling is a huge no no in the Mafia and streets in general.
But Gene and Ronnie, as I understand, were breaking other rules left and right. I'd love to know what Gene thinks about what Imma say..and the general audience too, along with the host:
Gene told on Ronnie..if he wouldn't, he would have gotten life or something close to that. Ronnie got 14 years. Can that be looked at as not that bad, from Ronnie's point of view? They were great friends..Gene would have been done had he not told. Would it be strange for Ronnie to just eat that and understand?
Look at the flipside..you got people that don't tell, because they know if they do, they'd give their people huge time, when they may only do lets say 5 to 14 years keeping their mouth shut. Ronnie got little time compared to what Gene was facing keeping quiet.
