Love this. Deleted my social accounts a couple of years ago, no regrets. Got sick of it for the same reasons you mentioned. Also grew up collecting skate and bmx zines in the 80s/90s so I love everything about this. Thanks for sharing this!

Great Idea, hope this catches on and we see more community zines throughout the country! Totally agree with your ideas about printing out your work, I've been printing more of my pictures with my intrepid enlarger and it is a whole new level of satisfaction and is an art in itself.

Print, and gift prints. It makes peoples' worlds. It really does, and it is so gratifying as a photographer. Shit, you might actually get paid.
Even if it's just 50 postcards. Do it. Film, digital it doesn't matter, just gift prints. I always have some shitty frames to throw a print on someone if they hit me nicely as a human. Gift prints always and anywhere. It has to be printed to be real. And +1 for the gifting.
I just gave a 10x20 out today to a new neighbor who I thought needed a place to fill a world of wall in her new apt., and I had it. Cost me $35. That's a bar tab. It is going to change her attitude and make her smile until she dies. Priceless. Hell, I take a shit everyday behind a river scene that helps me shit. Just print your shit and gift it. I think you got the message.
