I might have said this in chat at one point, but what if at some point you guys did a commercial stream going further back than the 80s? 70s, 60s, maybe even 50s stuff (or is that too risky with all the misinformation at the time, like thinking smoking was good for you etc). I understand the nostalgia factor being a 90s kid myself, but it might be interesting! Don't mean to sound pushy either, just throwing out a suggestion.
I actually have a pretty good episode I uploaded a few months ago that is all 50s and 60s toy commercials. Would be awesome to see it on the jaboody stream.
In the same breath they shame soda drinkers, and then discuss their tier levels of candy bars, having a peanut butter taste test, and describe extensive knowledge of the differences of Domino's and Pizza Hutt crusts.
Please, someone tell them they can use the arrow keys to fast forward 5 secs or backtrack 5 secs instead of jumping several minutes looking for a certain clip.

If I wanted to make "beefaroni," I'd legit just make oven-baked macaroni and cheese and add seasoned ground meat to it. Things are just better if you make it yourself most of the time.
One hour in and you gd zoomers haven't noticed: Danny Aiello, Anthony Michael Hall, Telly Savalas (fucking Kojak, not Dr. Evil) and the old black lady from Coming to America who said he should marry her if he was really a prince. My wife noticed the actress from Better of Dead in the Coke commercial too. Good lord you guys need some boomers on here to educate you on some history of TV here. Gonna make me sign up to a live stream. SIncerely, a 44 year old boomer, and his 40 year old boomer wife. Great stuff still though :)
I've heard they don't even deep fry the chicken anymore, like they get it from the factory all pre breaded and frozen and they just put it in some kind of oven.
@@mechanoid2k Ew, that probably explains the taste. The original recipe chicken tastes like it expired and they threw it into the fryer anyways. The breading looks grossly dark, as if something's wrong. I should've taken that as a hint before eating. 🤢
Don't think jingles would work like they use to as people are use to marketing tricks and trades of the industry, plus people avoid/spend little time on commercials. Heck we have ad blockers for web sites, I know those folks are avoiding commercials, and even back in the day, if you had a DVR people were zipping thru/past commercials . . so no, companies budget / advert different . . though not any better.
The children of the Kellogg's cornflakes. Look for the Just Bare Chicken Fillets or the spicy tenders they are better then the fast food chicken. Cadbury scream eggs are the Halloween version with green cream in the middle. Those are my favorite. The goober peanut butter with jelly is good. I like the strawberry one but the Wal-Mart grape stripes is good too.. I miss the grilled cheese uncrustables. Kroger sushi is good but Wal-Mart sushi is bad though and the rice is hard while the fish is shredded up. It's called Hubba Bubba squeeze I used to see it at the Fashion Shop clothes/furniture store in the early 2000s. But Big lots has a bootleg version. The Screamin Sicilian stromboli's are good. The Nabisco thing looks like an Ena or Disney Zoogs character. It's now my favorite mascot next to Bigg Mixx, Frute Brute, and the mascot for honeycomb from the 90s.
Popeyes suck where im at. Last 2 times we went chicken was raw. Made a friend of mine sick as a dog too. Needless to say it closed under a year of being open. Smh

no the past wasn't better, it was just different . . so much cringe is in the past . . . clothing, medications made out of addictive ingredients, no real information highway unless you were driving on compuserve or aol walled gardens, cold war, bad fashion . . the football sized shoulder pads in women's clothing . . . small screen tv's because even big screens were small, about 10 channels to watch, you still got your pron in expensive magazine form . . . there were some drawbacks in 'the past'. And some mistakes we keep on making
