- Paint a page of leaves with me to perfect your brush technique! Today we're using just one round brush, with a good point, to paint ten different styles of leaf. We'll be using lots of different brush movements like turning, twisting and printing as well as the more common long and short strokes.

About my brushes
I have always bought my favorite brushes from Drawell direct from Japan. They are handmade in Japan. Drawell will ship readily to anywhere in the world. What a perfect exercise for those times when I just need time to be pensive ... seeing different greens come to life in various leaf shapes is almost meditative! No pressure to make the perfect "scene", but just enjoy putting brush to paper. Thank you!

I love leaves, I love green. I remember befor I began with watercolors I had a favorite color. Now,I have so many favorite colors. I guess we all just love color, period.

Well, I made a mess even though been trying wc for a year. Yours are beautiful!! Don't know where I got the nerve to post it on your FB page but it's there for all the world to see LOL. Painting is not relaxing for me, it's frustrating. But it's like any craft that I have finally learned, it's only relaxing after skills gained. thanks so much for this lovely vid.
You‘re right Kathy, it‘s nerve wracking at the beginning whatever it is. I‘ve just learnt a new recipe for making gluten free bread, which has finally turned out reasonably edible. The first time of making was quite tense! And the second, and third! By loaf no. 6 I‘m going to be feeling more confident. And all that for COOOKING!
