    If your looking to have this setup in more than 1 location or on multiple cameras on the property you may want to look at self amplified horns. Only challenge is having a power source near by, the advantage to using a self amplified horn is you can really BLAST the sound in noisy environments and you know have ZONES. Front yard, Back Yard, Side Gate ETC... Cool Video Fred !!

    I wanted to ask a question-I have 4 cameras hooked up on my house. They are very cheap but work well. I wanted to hook up the setup you describe above so 2 questions. 1 is the poe switch. My other cameras are wireless so do I need one and why. 2 Is there a cheaper cam you might recommend? Thanks for your time.

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  Před rokem

      The cameras would need audio out to hook to the speaker horn and amp. Most wireless cameras don’t have that. What make and model are your cameras?

    A few days ago, these options were working. Now you can't do two things at the same time. If you go to talk option, the camera talk is turned off. Again, when I turn on the sound option of the camera, the talker option is turned off. If you want to do one, you have to keep the other off. Can't speak and hear at the same time. But a few days ago these two tasks could be done simultaneously with the phone.

    Hey there. I tried this speaker with a TiOC camera hoping that the prerecorded messages would go out over the speaker. Tech support tells me I need a amp for the speaker. Have you tried it with a TiOC?

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  Před rokem +1

      Yes, you will need an AMP if you have a long run to the speaker to get the volume up. I have a good cost-effective Pyle amp listed in the description to the video. I use that set up a lot.

    • @WentworthCCTV

      No. You should not have to do anything extra. The camera has a built-in microphone so let's start with that. Are you using a browser or Smart PSS to view the camera.

      Not if it is an IP camera with a built in microphone. Once you log into the camera and enable audio, you can hear it through your PC in a browser or using the manufacturers client software/ phone app.

    Sir, I have an important question! Does the Audio out from the IP Cam, also provide power to the speaker? Won't you need an Amplifier to add in between?

    • @WentworthCCTV
      @WentworthCCTV  Před 2 lety +1

      The horn or speaker will need an amplifier if you need the audio to be loud. It works without one, but in a noisy environment you would want the amp. Several people have mentioned this so I will do another video soon including a Pyle amp.
