  • Michael Jordan is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and for good reason. His talent and skill on the court were unmatched, and his dedication to training and improving his game was unparalleled. In this video, we'll take a closer look at Michael Jordan's insane basketball training and workout routine, and how it helped him become the legend he is today.
Jordan's training regimen was a critical component of his success, and he was known for his relentless work ethic both on and off the court. He spent countless hours practicing and honing his skills, focusing on everything from his dribbling and shooting to his footwork and defensive maneuvers.
One of the key elements of Jordan's training was his focus on conditioning and endurance. He was known for his ability to play for extended periods of time without getting tired, and he would often push himself to the limit with intense cardio workouts and conditioning drills.
Another important aspect of Jordan's training was his emphasis on strength training and weightlifting. He worked with a personal trainer to develop a program that would help him build muscle and improve his overall strength, which was critical for his ability to dominate on the court.
In addition to his physical training, Jordan also placed a lot of emphasis on his mental game. He worked with a sports psychologist to help him develop the focus and mental toughness needed to excel under pressure, and he would often spend time visualizing and mentally rehearsing his moves and plays.
Overall, Michael Jordan's training and workout routine was a crucial factor in his success as a basketball player. His dedication and commitment to his craft allowed him to achieve incredible feats on the court and cement his place as one of the all-time greats. Whether you're a professional athlete or just looking to improve your own fitness, there's no doubt that Jordan's approach to training can serve as an inspiration and guide for achieving your own goals.

I can only imagine how much time and effort MJ put into his game. The type of dedication that few have - Gretsky, Tiger, Brady, Messi, etc. Wow! Great video, bro. I hope your channel grows fast! Good luck, and keep up the great work. Love your videos! Ask for more subs at the beginning and end of your videos. I have a non-profit and JUST started doing this. I did not before, but got over 50 new subs over the past 30 days. Good luck.

@@FieldofDreamschannel it was some Jordan documentary, I think it was fake though, in the documentary his dorm room door had a piece of paper taped to the outside that said run 3mi in 18min. Was probably just stock photography and not actual footage of his dorm. That’s why I said it’s a rumor. Though, I wouldn’t doubt it if he did. He was a monster. Physical fitness is very underrated among most NBA players. Especially cardio and running. Though, cardio does nothing if you don’t practice with the ball. They do so much of it and there is no doubt in my mind, that the majority of college players could run a 5min mile on the treadmill. Though many players do just enough to play the game. It’s only the really elite players like Jordan, Kobe, Wilt that put extraordinary time in the Gym and fitness. You can tell how bad it’s ignored in today’s game. Look at Zion or harden lol. We also have not seen a player of Jordan’s caliber in years. Partly because of talent but also because I don’t think Lebron works as hard as Jordan did. I also feel like players like Steph focus too much on dribbling/shooting and not enough on strength, plyometrix and increasing their vertical. But then again, you don’t have to jump high to be great at the game of basketball. I’ve seen many people curry’s height who have a 48” vertical or higher. Curry’s is maybe 35”? Though the game has changed where having a high vertical is almost pointless. Unless you are playing 1999 hand check rules. There is no need to be so explosive and get above your player, because any contact will result in a foul lol. Now people just shoot, no jumper or if there is a jumper/layup it’s a 30” vert and not a 48” vertical like Jordan and others like Vince Carter had.

@@Frostyownzyou must be delusional if you think college basketball players are running a 5 min mile they train for basketball they’re not runners and a 5 min mile is elite level status , I run almost everyday at a pace of 7:30 per mile and my best is a 6 min mile , but then again you type of dude that proa bly believes wilt chamberlain bench pressed 700 pounds 😂😂😂

@@conormayweather5474 Not true, I played pickup basketball 3-4 days a week for 3-4 hours a day and could knock out a 5minute mile out on the treadmill no problem. I've also seen CZcams videos of college basketball players knocking out 5min miles. One guy actually tried after not playing college ball for 2 years and made it 3 of 4 laps. The mile is 30-40% anaerobic and uses 3% of your phosphate system. Only the best basketball players like Jordan incorporate daily distance running in their training. Even Iverson ran 4:45. Runners seem to have a scewed perspective of what is possible when it comes to athletics outside of their running community. I know, because I was a runner at one time. My mile times only got better when I quit running entirely and played basketball for 2 years. I was hard stuck 20 minutes for 5k as a "runner" too, but by playing basketball, I went sub 18. Best of luck to you.

@@conormayweather5474 As a runner, I can tell you do not have a clue. Many runners do not have a clue about athletics outside of running and take offense to it. They think its not possible for other athletes to be as good as them with different training. I use to be a runner and was hard stuck 5:45mile and around 20min for the 5k. I quit running entirely for basketball and dropped my mile to 5min and my 5k to sub 18min by playing full court pickup 3-4 hours a day 3-4 days a week. Iverson ran 4:45, Johnny Dawkins ran 4:36. Lots of stories of 5min mile ball players. Even big 6'8'' men can knock this out. The mile is 30-40% anaerobic. Many places quote it being 20% or less which is wrong. It's the 5k event that is 20/80. Best of luck to you.
