I agree that "Water" is my fav album. Its so cathartic, every song seem has a kind of build and release to it, and after words its like "ah, that was cool"
John has outgrown the role of a lead guitarist and backing vocalist. In his career with the RHCP he produced some truly amazing music, songs that I'm sure will still be played for a long time. But watching this you can see that he is a great solo artist and it was the right decision for him the leave
Thank god he overcame his Heroin addiction and didn't die. I know he was in a bad place for a while. Gibby Hayes from Butthole Surfers and Johnny Depp made a short movie about him showing his home in complete disarray while he was deep in his addiction, I forgot the name of it but you guys should look for it. I've been struggling with the same thing (or similar, I've never shot up) and I know how hard it can be, and I'm just soo proud of him and he's an inspiration. His music is better nowadays.

Its sad but true...damn I too respect his decision but but no one has ideas like john and the bond between flea and him help to create the vibe i've come to know and love from the chilis. Only time will tell if Josh has what it takes maybe John will soon be satisfied and fulfilled with his solo work and become excited about working with the guys again. PLZ GOD !!! let John go back to the CHilis...but of his own accord!!
