Collecting knives is interesting for me because there are so many knives that have specialized designs made for different uses. Then there knives for general uses and multiple blade styles knives that are compromises. A ten-inch fixed blade is most versatile generally, and 3 to 4 inch pocket knife seems to be too. A great many modern knife designs are more for style and appearance than using.
Trying new or old designs looking for a better one turns anyone into a knife collector. I did not consider being one until, I got older and looked at all the ones I had and used. I also realized that most new improved knives are no better than older designs I used for years. I play with mine and shine them up while looking thru all of them.☺
However, collecting knives is not using knives because the ones you collect are seldom used. No matter what collectors tell you, they cannot possibly use all of them long enough to know if they are better or not. They are just different looking and made using different materials from different Brands and countries. That is a fact of practicality you might think about when buying your next knife. I try not to run off the cliff with the rest of the herd. 🐯🤣🤔
No brother…..I was born in 1956….grew up in the inner city, and you just adapt and learn, that at the end of the day we’re all standing on the same grown. I surround myself with good people, people I trust, people I love, and that can be found in anyone. I know some folks have a harder time, but isn’t it their problem? I know where I wanna be. Thank you , Sinbad….for always making me laugh. You’d be surprised just how similar we are!
