Coventry fan. Grew up in the 70s when it was Alex Stepney, Martin Buchan, Steve Coppell, Gordon Hill, Macari and Pearson etc. irrespective of who was top of the table, United was and still is the biggest game. Never had anything against United, as they always tried to play football in an attacking way. Robson was legendary in the 80s and the 90s team record speaks for itself. To any player, if United came knocking, it was almost a given they were going. Almost like it was an honour to be chosen. Makes it really difficult to compare the attitude of Onana in goal vs Stepney, Bailey, Schmeichel, and impossible to compare the attitude of some of Uniteds greats vs the antics of Rashford and Anthony. They have zero pride. Forget just how privileged they are. It’s only Keane amongst the pundits who dares to call these slackers out.
And the current manager , that guy is in cuckoo land. Let’s say his opinion would differ massively to plenty of lads I knew in the 80s who travelled home and away with United. Proper clear out needed. Manager included . No hard feelings against United from the semi . But none of us grew up with what the rules seem to be nowadays

I hear ya on the frustration point. I agree but ,They've, as in INEOS only been here a short while. Couldn't approach anyone Till it was official. Was always going to take time, negotiation, legal, Newcastle pretending to be a big club, etc.
The real fault is the Glazers who delayed the whole deal. They have made it a very difficult task for INEOS To do second half of season.
Let's not turn on INEOS just yet. They are trying to turn the Titanic on a 5 pence piece. Very very difficult. It will take time.

When all the top execs are in place, Berrada, Ashworth and Wilcox they will get rid of the wasters and get in some professional players that will give their all to United. I wouldn't be surprised if Ineos introduce a wage cap and bonus scheme. Say £250k pw max and bonuses based on results. That may encourage some of them to run around a bit more.

Journalists are putting 2+2 together. The role of a technical director is to monitor player and staff performances and create data files on them all which can then be viewed and decided upon by the sporting director and CEO and their team. Also, the technical director will do background checks on all potential signings. So journalists are stating the obvious, but a making a story out of nothing. Ten Hag, all his coaching staff, every other staff member and every player will be watched and monitored by Jason Wilcox as it's his job. The crap about deciding within one month, it's not Wilcox 's job to decide and the CEO doesn't start until June and the sporting director has no start date yet. The whole point of bringing in best in class board members is to create a longterm strategy. Not a reactive short term Dec without a proper plan in place that could hurt the club and send the progress back years. I don't see them sacking Ten Hag, as it doesn't make business or sporting sense right now. They can assess it better next season when all the specialists are actually in the club working.

His subs were perfectly normal because: It was 3-0 against Coventry in minute 70 when he made the subs. Taking Garnacho and Mainoo out is something smart because he need them for the final and is no logical reason to risk playing them another 20minutes and maybe get an injury or red card and miss the final. I would do the same in this similar situation is no reason to push your best players when normally the game is already won.
