Aren’t we all thankful that Praying Mantises aren’t 8’ tall? We should be! Great video! I’m from New Mexico and have been pretty locked in because of disability. I haven’t been camping since 1996 and really miss being out there. My vehicle will make it but my wheelchair is strictly for civilized settings. I’m trying to get the VA to get me a tracked wheelchair so I can get back out in the sticks! This road is definitely a trip I want to do!
@dr.froghopper6711 Wow! 8' praying mantises would be crazy indeed! Thanks for your sevice! I hope you get that tracked wheelchair soon and can get back to exploring! When you do, you might want to take some videos yourself. I'm sure you could be a great inspiration to others in your shoes.
Thank-you for sharing your experience in NM. I am planning/researching a two week overlanding trip to NM late November this year. Your video showed me area’s I had not considered. AND your commentary was excellent so I could look up FS Roads on Gaia. I’ll be in a truck trailering a SxS so plan is base camp for 2 day with truck and ride around on SxS, then relocate, repeat.
Glad you enjoyed this! We definitely saw trails throughout the area for side by sides, the views are incredible, and traffic was low. Enjoy your travels!
I think we had about 3200 miles and two more weeks of trails like Stony Pass, Imogene Pass, and Poughkeepsie Gulch between us and home at this point, so it just felt smarter to fix. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Lol! Some day soon I hope to improve our sound equipment. Recording and editing on a cell phone is a definite audio challenge, and we have lots to learn. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the vid. Can drive for literally hundreds and hundreds of miles on a grinding brake though. No real reason for a field fix for this.
