  • Get a back-to-back riding perspective from two of the sport's most extreme big air rippers! Ozone team riders Ruben Lenten and Jamie Overbeek send it on the Enduro V4 and Edge V11 kites over a couple of Cape Town sessions to feel the performance differences.
    Of course, these two huckers are primarily concerned with max height and megaloops. As you can see in the video, both kites are well capable when it comes down to those performance demands, but the way you're ripped off the water is quite different. Each kite responds and reacts uniquely in different parts of the wind window, while the speed of depower and the power range itself also vary. These performance dynamics will ultimately influence which kite will help you take your own riding further.

    Could you make a review of the amp v2? Which gets rather sadly neglected in the range.

    I'm pulling the trigger on a two kite quiver for this windy summer in north of Portugal! What combo would you recommend for a 85kg rider who is keen to progress in Big Air and start on megaloops? 10m Enduro and 7m Edge, or the other way around? Thank you for the inspiration guys!!

      That sounds like a great combo! Can handle the strong days with 7m edge and still jump, loop and play with the enduro when it’s lighter. 👍

    How is your opinion on learning kite loops ozone edge or enduro and really still kicking it ruben

    • @RubenLenten

      For learning loops, the Enduro is definitely easier as the turning speed is very fast so you can get really comfortable with cranking the bar. However an Edge will also do the job but it take some more guts and commitment. My advice is to try it on a smaller size underpowered to get used to steering the bar, looping the kite and absorbing the yank. Timing and commitment is everything. Have fun!

      You need lots of courage to loop on the edge. Not a kite to start looping with at all. The enduro on the other hand might be one of the best kites out there to start looping with, it’s very easy to pull a small loop, that’s what you need🤙

    Are you going to do the same comparison for the code vs torque? Both of you are into Big Air on the same kite, but prefer different boards.

    • @RubenLenten
      @RubenLenten  Před rokem +5

      Good idea. Will make it happen... as I was always riding boots the Torque just became my board of choice. Now with straps I'll test the new code out as well and make a video about it. Thanks
