Hey man could you make a video on dogs around ur own food ? My family usually eat lunch around, drink tea with a bicuit, thats when our shepherd basically sits near and keeps staring lol, My grandpa finds it uncomfortable, and then over time the sheperd sniffs near his biscits(not eat it) moves under grandpas legs lol, I think the sheperd doesnt understands boudaries, its a bit misleading for me to teach him boudaries too, since I have very little boundaries, he usually licks me, i dont mind, so do many other people, yet there are others who dont like being licked or jumped on or their food being sniffed, being stared, How can we train a dog to learn this ? I found no video related to it haha, it would be great if you can make a video on it

Hello Nate and company!
We've looked through all your videos and noticed there aren't any on "training" socialization. Specifically, we are getting a border collie puppy next spring and want to know how best to introduce it to our existing pets. We're confident in our ability to socialize it with people and dogs, but not cats and, in our unique case, a 17lb Flemmish Giant rabbit. The rabbit is free roaming in the house and is familiar with and comfortable around dogs. It is large enough that a new puppy likely won't equate it with a toy, but we'd value a bit more support in regards to introducing and desensitizing them properly. We've already decided to avoid furry "prey" toys in the beginning to avoid confusion. Thoughts?

its simple, take ur dog to every event of socialisation(parks, meeting people) before the age of 4 months, and he should naturally follow whats a norm and whats not. I personally have a GSD and 3 cats, he did go excited over the cats, yet as he aged, + constant corrections(while monitoring) he eventually let go of nipping on them(at 5th month age). it should come natural to the dog to follow the norms of the house with the rabit with ur correction(saying no, leave it, negative punishment, rewarding good behaviours, etc consistently, correcting within the 2 seconds of error). Its also important for the family to follow the same guidelines haha, some may allow him to chase around the rabit, some wont, there needs to be a set rule, if he's allowed or not. That's what I did, take what you find useful : )
So need to be in a crate before the puppy go in the vet or go in myself with a lead to the vet
