- The conditions seemed to have lined up for the Kob. So we took the family south of Walvisbaai to Paaltjies to look for some kob and my word! did the stars line up for us too! everyone caught kob! The wives, the kids, we all caught job on basically every throw! Definitely one amazing and crazy fishing day!

Best eating fish for me onions tomatoes and ground pepper basil baked on coals rapped in tin foil take that any day before elf or sneok ,very fleshy but no sneaky bones , small ones on South coast Natal are better eating, suppose same in Suid Wes makes me want to go to Namibia seems like they are more abundant,Well done guys

Great video as always. Extra special because I have fished Paaltjies many a time and 90% of the time during the run in December there are thousands of cars packed next to each other catching nothing all chasing the same fish. Very rarely any go back even with the regulations in place. Thank you for releasing most of your fish. It is a special experience when you find the school with no one around. A fishery that needs to be protected at all costs.

You guy's kinda just came the wrong year😂, should've seen that run 2019/2020. Catching 4/5 kob on the same bait just standing on the banks and releasing it at the same spot.. gooi vas papa😂

Die Dusky Kob het ek al gesien het n mooi pers kleur as die lig op hom val. Het die Silver Kob meer n koper kleur?

Hi Xander, would the the assasin evo zero infinity # 6 be suitable fro me ? I normally use 6 oz sinkers and mostly throw bait with bigger live mullet. I basically just want to know if that setup would be suitable enough to cast with but not too stiff that it will pull hooks out of kob easily. TIA

Shot for the input, in your opinion could I use my Saragosa 10k for a little bit of spinning? I know it has a lower gear ratio and line retrieve than the 14k but could you make it work on the odd occasion for spinning?
