    This kid is great. Great personality & sense of humour. He would fit like a glove in this market. Would be a instant fan favourite. Having said that, I feel the same about Wright. Come on Kent, find away to get both !

      @tylerlussier1896 Před rokem

      No way we get both we would have to give Suzuki or Caufield and New Jersey wouldn’t take anything else on our team and they don’t want picks so no way unless Hughes somehow trades players to get a big name player and then trades that player to get the pick that could be possible but at that point your just giving up way to much not worth it we can draft Wright and trade up in between 8th and 6th to maybe get a Winger but I think we should be trading up to get Nemecs or Jiricek we need an offensive defence man to pay alongside Guhle

    He answers them as he sees fit and straight from the brain and not the paper. This guy is untrained to answer questions. i love what I see and as for Tony, he still has the humour and still gets the answer from Juraj.

    Suzuki, Slafkovsky, Caufield what a dynamic and youthful line that could stay together for 10yrs or more. 6'4 220 and still growing!!!

    Couple thoughts of why Habs might chose Slafkovsky
    1) Gorton did mention Slafkovsky's name when the management team had their interview session. Gorton seems to like players that are both talented and size. He also does not mind picking wingers with his high picks as he's proven by Lafrenière and Kappo who went first and second overall and are both wingers.
    2) The Habs will have to add size into their top 6 if they want to eventually compete for the Stanley cup and at this present moment they just have Suzuki ( medium size) and Canfield ( very small)
    as top 6 players for the future. These players need to be isolated with bug players. There is also the fact that if the Habs chose Bedard in next years draft, a player the Habs cannot pass over then the Habs would be wise to stack up on big talented players such as Slafkovsky or Gauthier.
    3) Management would be wise to look at
    the 2022 and 2023 as ONE draft. The Canadians should not be a very competitive team this year and should get a top 5 pick in the 2023 draft.
    Therefore it makes no sense to pick a center ( Wright, Cooley) when the 2023 is loaded with great centers many of them with good size ( Fantilli ) or generational talent ( Bedard). I also don't see Wright playing on the wing.
    4) The Habs chose not only Slafkovsky but make a trade to pick up Gauthier.
    5) Habs are also looking at the possibilty of adding Pierre-Luc Dubois from the free agent market in 2024 as he would add size, talent and veteran leadership to the young core.

      @tylerlussier1896 Před rokem +1

      Ya but look at how both those picks turned out Lafreniere isn’t gonna turn out to all the hype he had and kaapo Kakko is a borderline bust so Wright has to be the pick and Wright has size to he will be our biggest Center if you look at a picture with Jiri and Wright together there isn’t much of a size difference there like Wright has to be 6’1 and a half almost 6’2 so Wright also has size he sees the game way better then Jiri and we could trade for Jesse Puljarvi to get that sized winger and I honestly think Jiri is gonna be like a Jesse Puljarvi

    Isn't a bit small of a sample size to base the play of Slafkovsky only on olympics? Seems a bit of a gamble if you ask me.

    • @KevinGallant10
      @KevinGallant10 Před rokem +6

      its not just olympics, hes dominated every league hes played in always being 1-3 years younger. he was playing more of a sheltered role in Liigia. PLayed a good olimpics, WC and had a good run in the playoffs. I dont see it as much of a gamble. Wright never played against real men, just the junior level.

      @@Cripatron9711 don’t get me wrong im sure he’s great but you don’t build a team around a left wing
      And as impressive his performance at the olympics was it wasnt vs nhl players and on a bigger ice surface, and as good as he played in the worlds, bigger ice surface and with beat up nhl players after a full season of being beat up
      His numbers with his liga team are worse than kk’s were
      Like i said prob a great player but better than Wright who has had the pressure of being a number one projected since being 15? Don’t think so. Wright isnt a crosby or a mcdavid but he’s not a nolan patrick either
