Tour the Webb Telescope’s Pillars of Creation

- This video tours areas of Webb’s near-infrared light view of the Pillars of Creation. This area is brimming with gas and dust - which are essential ingredients for star formation. Glowing, bright red wavy lines appear at the edges of some pillars, revealing where stars are ejecting material as they form. The bright red orbs are newly formed stars that have burst into view.
Distant galaxies typically make appearances in Webb’s images, but not this one. A translucent layer of gas and dust is drawn like a curtain, allowing the stars to take centerstage. Webb’s near-infrared image will help researchers update their models of star formation. Over time, we’ll learn how stars form and burst out of these dusty clouds over millions of years.

From France...Really don't understand why on this channel there isn' actuallities/picture/etc !!! I have to search anywhere else to have news from JWST : incredible !
Pillars of creation look epic on the Hubble telescope but on the James Webb telescope its mind blowing how detailed the image is, wow!
I just got done reading all the different filter's and computer generated alterations, in order to get these pictures look anyway they want. Basically it's not a true image, it's very altered every single one.
@@Mr.Robert1 yes, but they are still based on the real images captured, it's not like someone just painted stars wherever they pleased, more like your phone taking an HDR picture, a lot of image processing, but the final result is still a good representation of what was there when the image was taken
The most awaited webb image which won my heart and made me emotional..
@LilMac Machine Thnx
This! This is the image that I've been waiting on. It's so unbelievably beautiful!
It looks like the name of God. Allah in arabic
@@kellysam2076 No it doesn't.
@@JimBalter To each his own. Dig.
I'm so spellbound with this new view that I use part of it as my background on my phone. Mesmerizing.
@LilMac Machine Did you create your account today just to show how desperately bad you are at trolling? No offense intended, of course. 😺

Space is fake
Me too, 👍
Oh my God! This is so beautiful! I've waited for this telescope since my childhood!

Ur first three words say it all. It ls the name of God. ALLAH in Arabic. That's what it looks like
@@kellysam2076 Not Allah. Jesus!
@@brasov3236 Give it a break man! The great thing about science is that it is true, whether or not you believe it. Sounds like a personal problem you have. You need to watch Stephen Hawking's documentary "Did God Create the Universe?" and then get back to us. I would rather believe someone who has dedicated themselves to science, and went to school for it, than some moron that spews off complete ignorance on a You Tube comment. There is no God, OK?! Get over it.
continuing the hot streak of best thing going on right now
The competition ain't much
@r33mote why are you listening to anything Kanye West is saying
Breathtaking... this really brings out more detail than the hubble photo!
For 10 billion dollars, it better!
Talk about playing the classics the fans never get tired of - "The Pillars of Creation" are astronomy's version of "My Way." 🔭 = ❤️
so many stars in this image....awesome scope
What a wondrous age we live in today!
amazing, worth every cent that was put into it.
Look like alien wolves howling at the nearest bright star. Stunning.
Absolutely splendid! We never know how mysterious the Universe is!
Thank God, with the Webb Telescope we will be able to see the traces of the Trisolar Fleet! Excited!
This is extremely beautiful and incredible. Truly thankful to be have been able to witness this!
Simply breathtaking!!

Amazing.
A star is born.
Beautiful space with nice background music
Looks so beautiful
I’m so excited for the future. Hopefully the next generation will visit these places in person.
We're definitely more than one generation away from that, maybe in the next 400 years we'll manage a single stable colony on mars
Looks like Greyhound dog racing towards the finish line. Stunning
That was Amazing
Holy hell, this is literally out of this world ^^
The pillars of creation are so beautiful I want them as a desktop backround
Magnificent!
FANTASTIC
Marvellous!!!
Glorious!
Very much enjoyed your video so I gave it a Thumbs Up
The voice over sounds like Aabria Iyengar, soothing yet keen and interesting :)
This is so beautiful, i wish i could see with my eyes
You can see the pillars if you look through a telescope with an aperture larger than 12" (30 cm) under dark sky. They look like three tiny black rods in the Eagle nebula.
Im glad to finally see images like this, but... with the hubble and zooniverse, i got to see and help classify as many as I liked... ( Was at least 1400 for me before it ended. ) I hope theres a similar project like that eventually
Magnifique !
So beautiful!

This is history being written. I'm glad to be on the ride 🙂
Remember, Humans would never see this. This is an ARTISTIC representation of Infrared light.
On a telescope, out in space , it would be fuzzy gray shades.
Humans don’t have the natural capacity to see these colors in real life. Hydrogen is interpreted within the red wave in n.m. , Sodium is Yellow, Oxygen is blue. Infrared shades = This image through filters and software manipulation.
The gases emit waves and waves are interpreted by software and filters to represent this image.
It’s a beautiful artistic display, nevertheless.
Absolutely stunning image. Much more detailed than Hubble's. Speaking of the Hubble version, you should have started out the video with that one and then dissolved into the JWST version. I think it would really help to illustrate the step-up in quality from Hubble to JWST to the general public and what their money was spent on. Don't get me wrong, your video was great, it's just an idea to help get more US citizens onboard with science and support NASA and it's programs!
The article that brought me here had a side-by-side comparison. You're right; the contrast is amazing.
@@rloomis3 That's good that someone is doing that so you can more easily see the difference. I think they should be doing it for every observation they release if there is a corresponding Hubble observation.
They have a great cgi team and they are magnificent at photoshop.

Beautiful images of true creation of stars.
Just a miracle!!!
How can i get Webb's images ?
The stars in the photo are reborn or we saw the stars when the smoke is very soft or the two kinds?
Science and nature are awesome!
“The distance of stars;
The pointless atom of existence -
The unforgiving minute”
Is it possible to get more information about this photo? What is the scale? This object (small bend structure located close to right edge of photo) has... 10km lenght? 1000? Or more like planet size?
from the webbpage (see what I did there?) about the image: "Image is approximately 8 light-years across." That's more or less 76 trillion kilometers. Not sure which object you are referring to but rest assured it's many, many times larger than our solar system.
Hi,
I see what You did, thx.
I really like to search and read by myself but I saw this short video this morning and being busy i just asked the question I could try to google by myself.
Unfortunately no time this morning due to work and shift plan.
I was jus in awe and unpatient.
So thank You for Your time and answer.
It's like a hand grasping something
Hoe kan het dat alle sterren achter de wolk er doorheen schijnen?
Het is een nep plaatje, het is door een computer gamaakt. Astronauten zijn acteurs, nasa liegt
Isaiah 40:22
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
Great job JWST team 👏
Հրաշք!!!
WOW!!! Congratulations to the Webb team.
how come the stars does not bump on each other despite how dense the number stars scattered around the cosmic cloud of dust?
"Dense" is relative. In fact the distances between the stars are immense, though I think way closer than our neighboring stars are to us. That said, lots of these stars actually will find each other and become binary systems, or perhaps spiral into each other and merge.
I see one huge dinosaur 🦖. Beside my fantasy eyes, this is so beautiful! Wow.
Godzilla
@@denisnjenga1222 there's an actual "Godzilla Nebula" and an official NASA page has a crude drawn impression of the Godzilla shape, it's really funny
This just has me still so baffled I have to put this somewhere that I can really take time , smoke a good kush😸, and really pay attention to this and do some in depth I.Ding
“My god, it’s full of stars!”

how long are these pillars?
The left one is said to be 4 light years long.
It has not much length, it is a computer generated image
Looks like a creature soaring through space
تبارك الله أحسن الخالقين
It's just nothing more, but Shriekwing room pillars. Space game graphics do not have much video fidelity to recreate impressive nebula looks, where you can fly right into it and explore.
I know it’s a better image, but nothing matches the leap that Hubble made.
Hubble was going from a black and white TV to HD color TV. Webb is more UHD.
Please post more photos here: plenty of channels posting fake images. Merci!
....... WOW!
wow
It's like Dinosaur 🦖 image...
Roaring in universe...
Respect, Honour to seeing this image...
Beautiful! It looks like ovary bursting out stars....... every natural, universal movement repeats itself on hugh and tiny scales
Can someone explain it in Twi for me?

Majestic images. mind blowing. This celestial bodies are are a testimony of the infinity Power and Wisdom of the Creator of all things in heaven and Earth, Jehovah The Almighty God. Science and the relative wisdom of human scientist made possible that humanity can see the beauty and wonders of our Universe! Delighted! 💗🌷🙏🎶🎶🎶🥓
The advances in C.G.I technology is getting pretty amazing.
Flatearther detected.
The shape is real, they colours aren't. The pillars are still physically there
@@insertedgynamehere Yip I know the colours are enhanced by infrared spectrum . The shapes that you see are 6500 to 7000 years old, that's how long it has took the light to get to us. So the shape now will be totally different from what we are looking at. But it's still fascinating to see all the same.
While visually spectacular from our perspective and at the distance we view these formations, if you're inside one, I doubt you would see anything. It's all perspective and point of view. Aliens looking at our us from afar, may say the same thing. Look at that interesting area in space from millions or billions of years ago.
How can be we so sure that they are pillars of creation .i mean why cant be stars formed at some particular region .why not every where in space . Is it necessary that this dust is for stars
Clouds like this exist elsewhere too presumably
The pillars are just a particularly dense region of star formation, stars can form just about anywhere where there’s a decent amount of interstellar gases
The Webb telescopes' endeavors of late have been marvelous.
But you gotta ask yourself first; Are we more amazed that we human beings found a way to see this, or are we more amazed that This otherworldly Pillars of Creation Exist in the first place?
This picture here is proof of design and beauty. Not randomness, but Creation.
Make your videos 4k please
It could've also could of been named something like hand of creation or hand of the universe. Because it looks way too similar to a hand.
