The night before class, someone on IG DM'd me from Stockholm recommending this song! I hopped in the studio really quickly because it was just too good of a song to pass up.
This is an all-levels routine that I taught for this Beginner Class at my "NIGHT OF DANCE" event where I teach 4 classes back to back. The song was perfect for a routine that anyone could personalize and interpret in their own way.
We did a showcase at the end as well!

Yep! Many have too much going on and over saturate the dance but Galen is a master of brevity. Every move has intention and emotion, I love it!

The expressions from the soloist make his performance so much more interesting, they were all great dancers but I was absolutely captivated by the raw emotion he put into it. I feel like it takes something special to immerse yourself that far into a performance and not worry about looking weird or unattractive while doing it because it makes it seem more authentic? I donât know, Iâm not a dancer, but I thought it was great! Props to all the dancers and the choreographer, well done!

(To clarify, the woman is Galen Hooks herself and I then went down a very steep rabbit hole of Galen's work- the woman is incredible! Also also, this doesn't detract from the fact Mike is also phenomenal)

Iâm the girl sitting down in the back wearing a bucket hat. First of all, this is my first CZcams comment in years. The energy and enthusiasm in this room was insane.
The second guy is from Romania, and he said he waited 3 years to attend Galen Hooksâ class. We all learned this choreo for an hour and how he absorbed all this is just beyond me.
Also, I just really wanna recommend everyone to take a dance class if you can. Iâm just a normal person who doesnât have impressive dancing skills. I took this beginner class to challenge myself and I walked away with a courage to push myself to my limits.
Everything about this class was amazing and uplifting!!

God so amazing. I love the emotion. I donât know shit about dancing, canât coordinate myself well, Iâm not in shape, and I dont think I could freestyle to save my life. But I love dancing to music that is important to me. I make up all kinds of mini choreography to this song in particular. Just small things, hand movements, a turn, but the ability to express the emotion you feel with your body is so powerful.

I liked the girls verson better both technically and visually. The guys interpretation was a cool spin but didnt fit the music and his moves were i feel more messy? Compared to the wonans. Woman's had the difficulty of needing to stay in sync too where the guy didnt have to.

It's not the best. There's many different choreography styles of this song and this style is far from perfect. Yes the choreography was well put together and it matches the tone and mood of the song, but that doesn't mean that the choreography is the best.
