Episode 34 Finding top dead center and Pertronix distributor install
This episode we find top dead center without removing the valve covers, go over future engine bay plans, and install our Pertronix Ignitor III Billet distributor. - Jak na to + styl
Once you get the distributor set with #1 in the correct position you can rotate the engine by hand and the rotor button will turn in its correct position until the oil pump lines up and drops in its slot.

As long as the oil pump rod has the retainer clip on it at the oil pump, it will stay in the engine. Watch Episode 94 Installing a Duraspark 2 ignition system in a Mustang, Falcon, Fairlane. We're actually looking into that. We've got some ideas for carb rebuilding, and engine building too. But really good point Press. We'll start working in that direction.

You guys said u would explain WHY the vacume advance is better on the street ,than a mech advance, but then just said "IT IS" without explanation. I am runnin a DUI dist with mech advance in my 355 in my Camaro, and need to know exactly why one is better than the other.
So I’m curious as to if the full replacement distributor is better than just using the points replacement kit.
It is mostly really pretty....

Hello guys, how have you been? I have a Pertronix D-1350 in my 289, Is it needed to make all this procedure with such unit or is already set? Can you tell me if the firing order in this engine is counter clock or clock wise fashion?
The unit is preset, check Pertronix site for additional instruction.

Ford distributors rotate counterclockwise.
look at roter is it going clockwise or counter clockwise

i have a 1979 z28 350 30 over auto tran with a edelbrock 1406 carb with a spacer ,intake is a edelbrock 26014(new). I cant get the car to idle,idle at 500rpm and go's 2000 and the brakes don't stop to good poor vac.I have a HEI Distributor,What is the best for my car thank you, thank you for your time

You guys found top dead center on the compression stroke but you literally explain nothing to someone like me who has no idea how to do this... so I learned nothing.
line up those marks you will be right these mark are set at factory for tdc you will need a timing light to see where the line is loosen dist so you can slowly turn it so it flashing before tdc turn dist till it just before tdc mark lock dist you are timed
