I am shocked, I was on this island in 1987.
There was no infrastructure yet, just a few simple bugalows and a diving base, but the underwater world was colorful ...
Now pure luxury but a coral cemetery.
There was brilliant fresh fish in different variations every day. I suspect that there is now pizza too, right?
The paradise is sold out, sad development .....

The coral bleaching is a huge global thing and not related to this Island specifically. The Island is still a little paradise with a very good price performance resort

Awesome video although I would assume some underwater 'perks' are available to divers only...

Awesome. Can you please rate your snorkeling and diving experience on this island from 1 to 10?

Thanks! i would say 9 out of 10 as the coral is all bleached like in most islands and also no whale-sharks in Male atolls, but apart from these two the sea-life is amazing both on the Island and the surrounding dive sites

@@reefscanner wow thank you! This island is next in our list! Fish life is really important to us. Seeing it has huge nurse and blacktip sharks is a really good sign! These are resident nurse sharks you see daily near the jetty right?

@@reefscanner by the way i forgot, if your into diving and you happen to go to Philippines, i highly recommend "sogod bay scuba resort". Its in southern leyte and it has amazing fish life, soft corals and critters. Best diving experience we ever had. There are also whale sharks there. We've been there twice already and planning to go back there sometime this year. Extremely cheap and food is amazing. You can check youtube videos about sogod scuba resort. Cheers.
