Season 4 Episode 4: “It All EFFing Comes Back to Us!“

In this episode, we speak with Jenilee Dowling, a madre of one that said EFF IT to worrying about the idea of whether moving her child around to different places at a young age was a bad thing for him because it wasn’t a good experience for her growing up when she was moved around. She had to recognize that her son is a different person, and the way that she and her partner are bringing their son into the decision making when it comes to making moves is very different to when she and her family moved around growing up. You just have to EFFing remember that it comes down to us in regards to how we present things to our kids. If we make something bad and scary, then they will see it as bad and scary. The same goes for the opposite. Also, remembering that letting our kids see us go through different emotions, and how we handle and regulate ourselves will show them how they should regulate themselves, and that’s a huge lesson to learn that a lot of us didn’t receive from our parents/caregivers.
