  • As entrepreneurs and business owners, the lines between collaboration and competition can get a little bit blurry, especially when it comes to friends, family and other people in your community or network interested in either using your services or looking for advice to start their own. Today on Proof It’s Possible we are breaking down what we believe is the difference between the two and what to look for when handling various situations like this on your own. Tune in for more on:
    • What happens when you are doing great in your business and someone asks “I want to do exactly what you are doing, can you provide me with your process, program, ideas, etc?”
    • The clear distinction between collaboration and competition.
    • When to consider that you might be in the market to sell your business model or create a program.
    • Tips for encountering people who don’t want to pay for your services, but will happily ask for your intellectual property for free repeatedly.
    • Setting boundaries and knowing your worth and value.
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like it was more competition than a collaboration? How did you handle it? Let us know in our DMs, we would love to connect with you!

Another great discussion. I am totally with you ladies. Collaboration is a win win win situation and competition is a win lose.
I also see it as what can I give/how can I help rather than what can I get/what’s in it for me.
Keep up the great work ladies. You a my Friday Fabulousness.

Great conversation ✨ my opinion is that there is enough success for everyone that PUTS IN THE WORK foundationally. My guess is that someone scooping another’s framework MAY have some success in the short term but long term they have missed the foundation. The easy button doesn’t exist and the people that don’t see and embody that will likely not succeed. I like the idea Dayle about charging for it if that’s what they want. I would 💯 have the conversation if I felt like it was competitive… like “hey, I get that you think my business is a great idea for you, but you’re not going to succeed in this industry by copy paste” the value in coaching is personal experience and extremely unique to the coach and I think that applies to other personal business. Those are my thoughts. Love what you ladies are doing!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

I totally agree that there's room for everyone to be wildly successful! The cool thing is that we are all unique and just because you emulate someone's program doesn't make you the same (in your case) coach. Your personal experience is what makes you special. I love that Jamie outlined the difference between collaboration and competition. We LOVE collaborating with women when it's mutually beneficial. Thank you for listening!

@@proofitspossiblepodcast absolutely! 👍💯 you’ve raised a major roadblock issue with women in business being too giving of their value and not receiving a return. Saying no and having that boundary is a sticking point in our people pleasing culture. I hope hearing these conversations enables more women to make the perspective shift from people pleasing to protecting their value and upholding their boundaries.
