  • I ordered 9x10 insulated steel garage doors for my 24x30 building. Installing them was frustrating and at times tested my ability to craft creative solutions but the end result works great. See the other videos in the Dream Shop Build playlist for details. Next up will be the video installing the wall mount garage door openers.

Good job but I think from your video I've decided I'm going to just pay someone. I don't have the patience I would set the whole building on fire. Lol. Great description on everything this is the perfect video that I was looking for.

She was my dog from before I met my wife, I mean everyone says you’re never gonna have another dog like that because it was just you and them. I think they are right.

@@drewdoestrucks right i did residential sectionals for a few years, and am about to pour slab for similar shop,so ill be doing insulated doors, openers, always get positioned on ladder off to the side ,ive seen winding bars slip and are a deadly projectile,i saw the frustration in this video, but commend you for showing it all, luckily i had a great trainer, but its been awhile, and i never did the side mounted motors, thanks

@@sonofthunder. I got them all straightened out in the end. The horizontal tracks needed raised to always gravity feed the door to the wall mount openers.

How did you fill the gap on outside of door against the building

The doors come with rubber trim which you can also buy separately at home improvement stores. It nails into place and touches the doors to seal out water and air.

Doors were $1300 each all said and done. Openers were $529 each. About $3800 all together for both, not including the extra angle iron and hardware I needed to install them.

    Where are the doors from?

They are cloplay brand custom ordered through my local Home Depot. I was able to measure and do it all online without needing the store at all. They said someone would have to come measure before the order could be finalized but that never happened. They were delivered not to Home Depot but to my local authorized clopay garage door guy, who then delivered them to my shop.
